COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed by Amarcord Brewery in the small medieval town of Apecchio, Italy, AMA Bionda is a beer made specifically for the Italian dinner table. Designed by Brooklyn Brewmaster Garrett Oliver, AMA Bionda is a golden beer with a soft but complex floral and fruity character, born of aromatic malts, three types of hops, Italian Orange Blossom honey from Sicily, and water from springs that date to Roman times.

On tap at Macgregor’s. After talking to the Brooklyn master brewer Garrett Oliver I was able to talk the Bartentress into giving me a free glass of this while my brother had to pay $6 for his. (that made it taste a little better) It was a golden pour with small head. Fruity aroma, with light citrus and spicy yeast. The flavor has spicy yeast, peach, apricot, and clove. It was made for Italians. Not one of my favs.

Tap at Brooklyn brewery. Clear orange body, white head. Aroma of belgian yeast and fruity, perfumy hops. Flavour is bit "sodaish", but has some citrus, honey, flowery taste. Ok, but not great.

Bottle at Taste Firenze. Nose of light citrus and minerals. Flavor is honey, orange, actually quite sweet orange, yet it dries out nicely at the finish. Minerals.

Draft at Mission Delores. Light in colour and taste but subtle nuances become apparent as the beer warms, slight honey and floral characters, would go nice with a meal.

From a 12oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a quickly dissipating white fluffy head. Smells very elegant, clean and lifted. Notes of sweet flowers, honey, and peppermint come through. One of the most clean and pleasant Bouquets I have ever experienced. Taste is very light and delicate. Notes of spice, honey, and cream. This quite carbonated, and tickles the tongues. The texture is very light, a leaves me desiring something a little stronger. This beer is so extremely light, that I would not enjoy it with food other than a salad with light or no dressing. I was eating salmon with rice and steamed veggies when I open up this bottle, and I had to rinse my mouth out and wait a while before I could actually taste this beer. It is so light light that it is easily over powered, and that’s where I have to take points away from this one. Otherwise, it is a beautiful beer.
