Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Hazy yellow/golden coloured, small white head, weak grassy nose. Malty, grassy, touch of cardboared and bread with some odd touch of overripe fruit in rather bitter finish. Boring.

0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka Zagreb. Drank from the bottle at the cinema. Grain, sour bread. Sweet and grainy. Soft carbonation, light body. Fake light sweet finish. Not that bad.

On tap at Da Aldo in Venice, pours a clear gold with some thin, white head. Nose has malt, honey and grass, a bit trashy too. Flavor is the same, muddled fruit sweetness, under fermented malts. A tannic finish rounds things off.

Good malty aroma with a hint of a little white bread, soft fruit and some cooked vegetables. The flavor is malty with the sweet notes of pilsner malt and a little fresh grass as a spicy note. Hop bitterness is satisfactory without being too dominant, and all in all it gives an average good pilsner where malt is slightly more than expected. Carbonation is soft. A very easy drinking lager that tastes a little better than lagers from large industrial breweries.

9/I/15 - 33cl bottle from Horeca Expo (Gent) @ home - BB: 29/IX/15 (2015-16)

Clear deep blond beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: eastern Europe is calling! Lots of cow fodder, grains, barn yeard, horse stable, bit malty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty, grains, little bitter, herbal, pretty boring. Aftertaste: bit sweet, malty, hay, cow stable. Meh.

Pours light golden with a white head. Sweet malty taste of grain, grass. Soft carbonation. Watery. Slightly bittersweet finish.

0.33 bottle. Clear, gold color and a small, white head. Aroma of yeasts, grains, hints of alcohol, and delicate pale malts. Taste is sweet with pale malts, flowers, grains, better than in most pale lagers. Light to medium body, creamy texture, and average carbonation. Finish is also sweet and relatively pleasant. Overall a good example of a pale lager, though obviously the style doesn’t perform well in comparison to others.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2015 Antoniana’s standard lager, pure golden blonde under a thick, sticky, off-white head; straightforward malty aroma, sourish graininess, somewhat grassy, perhaps a tad metallic, hints of cooked corn. Notably malt sweetish, clean taste, simple, with light bitter, bit grassy finish. Has a genuine and pure feel to it, but it’s just another standard pale lager, of course.
