Very interesting brew. Strange flavor profile. Mix between belgian mild and a wild. Weird mild funk. But extremely good job of hidding the abv. I would certainly drink again. Ve

ReAle (120) - Rome, ITALY - DEC 3, 2010

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted, caramel, berry, fruity, moderate yeasty, candy, english wingum. Bottle @ Friday Night Ulfborg Thing. Thanks to J&C. Pours unclear amber with floaties and a large fluffy white head. Nose is yeast and spices. Lively carbonation. Flavor is tart fruity with spices and caramel. Fine balance and overall a tasty brew!

2009 keg on draft @ redlight redlight. Sweet citrus with candy hearts and pixie sticks on the nose. Pours caramel amber with a solid white head. Caramel malts with candy and sweet citrus, very sweet with bready malt notes with a spicy hop finish with slight grass notes. Not bad, but I can’t drink too much of it!

On tap at the Gingerman when I stopped in with Joe after Paul’s tasting. Pours a clear orange color. Berries and plums, brown sugar and chestnuts. Tastes like it would be good on pancakes. Syrupy with cinnamon toast flavors. Sticky sweet finish, brown sugar and caramel.

Bottle from Oak Tree. Pours dark brown/ruby with a few light tan bubbles for head. Dark fruit, kandi and yeast/spice aroma. Hop? Full bodied. Very mild and smooth carbonation. Flavor is darkly roasted malt - more caramel actually - with some floral hop. Not much bitter. Fairly well balanced. Nice drink. Not a trace of heat.

Bottle at Marea. Pour is a medium brown with an off white head atop. Candied sugars, yeast, dough, and traditional belgian spices. Nice malt backing - strong, robust, but very approachable for 9.5%
