Hazy brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, and bready malt. Sweetish flavour with some orange peel and a heavy, almost doppelbock-like malt profile, along with a touch of alcohol

On tap @ Purple Pig in Chicago. Medium brown, frothy tan head. Initially the aroma had a yeasty cidery aroma, but with some air time the spices came forward and the dark fruits became apparent. Figs and brown sugar and Christmas spice and candied oranges. Sweet but not overly so, quite enjoyable.

Tap. Creamy light tan head, dark murky ruby brown. Lots of zesty citrus, toffee, sourish dark fruits, and a slight sweetness in the aroma. Sweet raisins, citrus, spicy, dark fruits and some sour citrus in the finish. Medium to lighter body.

Pours a deep brown color with a finger or so of eggshell colored foam that trails away rather quickly... aromas are earthy dark fruit... figs, raisin, belgian candy and cola. On the palate this is good. Nice touch of carbonation brings the dark fruit out and its balanced nicely by a earth wet wood malty backbone. Nice brightness from the orange peel shines mid to late palate and really bring this one from a good beer to a great beer ! Tasty stuff.

Bottled at Copenhagen Ølfestival 2012. Hazy reddish brown color. Sweet aroma with toffee, raisins and prunes. Sweet flavor with plenty of prunes and raisins, some vanilla too. Low carbonation, mellow soft oily palate. Very good dessert liquer like beer.

Poured this beer from the bottle into a trumpet glass to drink. The beer had a very dark brown/black color with a small white head that had short retention, and light cling and lacing.. The aroma featured fruits, raisins, and floral hops, along with some earthy grain tones and spices. Its taste was sweet with raisin, a touch of earthy-grainy hops, and a lighter sour barley effect. It had a creamy, wet, and lighter mouthfeel with low carbonation and an average body.
