330 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Nice deep mahogany with a creamy tanned head that leave rich lacing. Slightly tart and nutty aroma with dried dark fruit, caramel, spice and grassy hops. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, mildly carbonated. Vinous taste caramel, clove, orange, fig and dried yellow apricot. Warming finish.

Un bel colore ambra carico con riflessi rame. La schiuma crema è abbastanza persistente. Al naso: uvetta, miele e caramello. In bocca un dolce di malto sfocia in un calore alcolico ben presente.

Malty and spicy aroma. Darker malts, but not roasty. More like raising and caramel. Really sharp carb. Good malty and yeast flavors. Very dark with a lace of head. Clear in light. Taste has some cherry like stuff. A slight bitter lingers after.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Pours brown/mahogany with a big and persistent off-white head. Aroma of esters, banana, apple, dried fruits, caramel, brown sugar. Flavour is sweet with a fantastic light sourness in the end, drinkable despite the ABV. Medium to high body, medium carbonation. Amazing winter beer!

Den har noter af nødder og karamel, virkelig intens smag, og meget diskret humle der bare giver fornemmelse af bitterhed til sidst.

4.5L. Thanks, J! Happy birthday, man. Pours a murky dark amber with a scant white head. Spicy nose, a bit sweet. Caramel and cardboard, finishes with a big phenolic rush like a stack of brand new flip flops.

On tap at Barley Hoppers (Abilene, TX). A clear dark amber color with a thick white Pilsner-ish head that dissipates very slowly and leaves plenty of lacing. Faint aroma of sweet malt and a little yeasty funk. Taste is malt with a hint of bittering hops, almost no aftertaste - very smooth, not a trace of booziness for such a big beer. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours an almost opaque brown-orange-gold with a high, creamy, mixed-grain cinnamon-brown head. Nose is orange, dried fruit, tawny port, wheat bread, yeast, turbinado sugar, maple, and molasses. Sweet up front with a strong tea bitterness, then with a big boozy streak; dark rum laced with hops bitterness. Lots of roasty flavor on the back of the palate. Warm spicy citrus notes in the nose as I drink. Finish is long, boozy, aromatic, and warm. Complex. Quite good.
