750 ml bottle, probably from Voldby Købmandsgaard. ABV is 9.5%. Dark brown colour with floaties, moderate off-white to beige head. Pleasant aroma of malts, caramel, orange peel and raisins, hints of mild spices. Medium sweet and mildly spicy flavour, again with notes of orange peel and raisins. Very moderate hops. A quite interesting and pleasant beer, which I’ll be happy to buy again for Christmas.

Very interesting, an Italian Winter Ale. Lovely flavour, almost like a perfect brown ale. I had this on new years eve 2013 in Skagen, Denmark. Much better than campagne.

Pours deep brown with a thin tan head. Fruity aroma of grapes and citrus. Definite grape flavor on the palate along with dark fruits. Low hop profile. Small, energenic bubbles. Suprisingly tasty beer from Italy.

had a small sample on draft while nobi’ing it up at a tasting .. . the lacing was super .. . candi sugar and mild alcohol, yet balanced .. . nothing special but it was nice enough .. . . my business card is just a picture of me licking the inside of a doritos bag..

Clear dark amber with a small head. Aroma of raisins, orange liquor, vanilla, brunt sugar (candi sugar?), spice. Taste kinda sour, not nearly as sweet as the aroma or the alcohol content would suggest. Bitter-orange flavor really coming through at mid-palate.

A very smooth, great beer. Had in bottle and on tap. On tap, it’s a deep orange with a thin white head. Smells of orange peel, a bit of vanilla. Taste is very smooth, can’t taste the alcohol, with a sweet finish. In the bottle, has a more herby, spice smell, less alcohol. Taste is a bit lighter and smoother, with less alcohol, and a bit creamier. Had at La Trappe’s Italian event. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Birra profonda e intensa che augura un natale pieno di gusto. Variamente speziata e con note penetranti di frutta scura che avvolgono il palato con una dolcezza molto bilanciata e godibile. Calda e alcolica. Superba.

Tria, Philadelphia tap: Pours reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, a hint of yeast, and some spiciness. Taste is a very subdued sweetness, with a hefty helping of delicate, dark fruits. Nice mouthfeel. Alcohol is well covered. Quite good.
