Another Very interesting beer By these guys. Appearance is a huge sick light tan head that settles down but doesn't go away, A little lace and a cloudy brown color. Aroma is very complex with balsamic vinegar, fruit, yeast malt, perfume and each time I smell it other things. Flavor is similar to aroma but not quite as complex interesting interplay between bitter sweet and tartness and has a nice dry roasted malt finish. Great body. This would be a great lunch beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2011 As sweet as honey as every Christmas beer should be, taste of caramel, fruits, a lot of belgian beer and some barleywine features at palate. The body is hardy. I’m only disapponted for the aroma, inconsistent at nose.

Sanguine muddy brown slosh with bitter sweet almost orange taste. Very complex and delicious. Rated 7/6/09

Dark red-amber with fair, creamy, beige head, no legs (barrel-aged) / Lightly sour, delicate nose of orange fruit, dark fruit, caramel, and barnyard / Light to medium body, modestly sweet and sour, soft carbonation, excellent balance with alcohol well masked and lightly bitter finish / Complex, soft, elegant flavors of red apple, bitter orange, caramel, straw, raisin, parmesan cheese, wet dog, and oak / A beautiful, light, bretty beer.

Sweet orange and grape fruity aromas. Dark amber in color with fluffy white head. Sweet orange/grape fruity flavors with a grainy, winey, earthy finish. Complex and changing as you drink.

Pours a deep brown color with a finger or so of eggshell colored foam that trails away rather quickly... aromas are earthy dark fruit... figs, raisin, belgian candy and cola. On the palate this is good. Nice touch of carbonation brings the dark fruit out and its balanced nicely by a earth wet wood malty backbone. Nice brightness from the orange peel shines mid to late palate and really bring this one from a good beer to a great beer ! Tasty stuff.
