24-MAY-2013, bottle @DØE Ølfestival 2013.
Clear amber with tan head.
Weak, sweet aroma of malt.
Taste is much better with bread, dried fruit, nuts.
Above average body and very soft carbonation. No real bitterness. Tasty, but not as good as the Belgians.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Holmen2 (68) - NORWAY - MAY 24, 2013
Almost black in colour with a hint of red. Arome of dark caramel and prune cake. Good taste, that that is reminiscent of both dark Belgian trappist ale and old ale of the UK.

Bottle poured into glass. Most certainly an interesting beer. Aroma carries with it hints of orange, citrus, dark dried fruits and brown sugar. Sort of complex but still very drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HonusWagner (909) - Florida, USA - APR 15, 2013
A slightly above average Belgian strong dark thing, with a bit of the usual sweet fruity estery component you expect and then some slight orange peel. Drinkable, but totally whatever.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 pentaz (589) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a light lacing creamy tan medium head. Aroma is raisin, nut, dark caramel, hops, vinous, brown sugar, toffee, licorice, spice - perhaps anise, spruce, alcohol, strawberry and black currant. Taste is medium+ sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Finishes malty sweet. Malt driven and quite coherent and balanced. My family really liked it.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 bigguns22 (425) - Maryland, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Aroma is light, sweet and some bread like dessert bread. Complex subtle flavors that are missed if to cold. The raisins and orange are not over powering and all most hard to find till it warms up. Very pleasant and would drink again year round.
