COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After the Equilibrista, our beer inspired by the Champagne world, here it is a new experiment on the “wine meets beer” theme. This time, though, we tipped the scales in favour of beer, adding to the Duchessa wort only a 25% of wine must: in this case we used Malvasia (coming from our friends of Tenuta di Bibbiano, as usual), a white, aromatic grape variety which gives the beer a gentle and nice sharpness and an inusual, fruity nose. The beer is bottle-fermentd using Champagne-yeasts, and it has a quite intense “perlage” (bubbles) that makes it perfect as an aperitif or even for the whole meal. The “chaotic” label was designed by Valentina De Luca, an Art student at the Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore Antonio Cederna of Velletri (Rome), who won our contest “Etichette Bizzarre”.

Tap at Ginger Man. Pale gold, clear, but of orange, flat. Soft white grape aroma, a bit of acid, some citrus. Sweet, bready falvor, grapes, biscuit, just a bit funky. Weird but fun. Would be better is a bit more tart.

translucent gold, puffy white head. Heavy lotion and booze nose, quite vegetal. Plum and sugars up front mask vegetal notes, plastic heavy mid with toast and toffee in the hot end, watery and off all over.

4 oz draft pour at ChurchKey. Hazy golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of apples, white grapes, wine. Tastes of berries, grapes, wine, apples, light tart fruit, kind of cider-ish. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Very nice note of honey in these. White wine definitely makes a presence. Finishes lightly sweet. Pours very pale golden with good head and lacing. Thanks to MrChopin for a taste of this. Tap at Churchkey sour event.

Scopey 5K Tasting in deepest Croydonia. Thanks to Theydon of Bois. Hazy gold beer, few white bubbles for a head. Palate is light and dry. Light winey grapes, tangy and dry. Light sweetness underneath. Whisper of aniseed. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle split at Scopey’s 5K Extravaganza of Oompah Band meets doorbell music, acquired from Johnny’s II, Roma - 15/02/14. Hazed orange/light amber with a thin off white covering. Nose is apple juice, light must, straw, mild citrics, not a hughe deal going off. Taste comprises light caramel, bitter orange, mellow fruit notes, wine barrel effect, stewed berry fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi dank close. Ok but not much depth and not that sour ! Wouldn’t revisit this one.

Bottle shared at Scopey’s 5000th rate. Cheers to Colin. Pours hazy-ish orange with no head. Nose is sweet toffee biscuit, quite doughy and lemon driven sherbert. Very sweet and citric behind the heavy dough base. Has that stale toffee note which I don;t enjoy. Quite sweet for a sour. Just ok

Bottle shared at the Scopey 5K tasting - big thanks to C-Money for this one. Pours hazy gold with a light, white foam head. Tangy tangerine on the nose with dried white grapes and white bread. Medium sweet flavor with dried berries, orange citrus, pale bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with mellow rindy bitterness, white bread, doughy pale malts. OK.
