2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottled. An unclear dark amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is oddly metallic combined with notes of chestnuts, and lighter notes of acidic lemon and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, but stronger notes of acidic lemon and oranges, as well as quite strong notes of chestnuts. I ’m not that fond of chestnut beers.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(Bottle 75 cl) Very unclear amber golden with a tall, dense off-white head. Extremely lively - it keeps on coming even after most of the bottle has been emptied! Sourish, fruity aroma. Medium body, sweetish malty with fruit and caramel. Very unclean with this underlying tartness throughout. 150207

Draft at 2 Amy’s. Beautiful clear ruby maroon color, fluffy white head. Aroma of toasted nuts, port wine. Taste is fruity, nutty and sweet. One of the lease offensive chestnut beers I’ve had.
Earlier Rating: 1/1/2011 Total Score: 3.1
Draft at Churchkey. Hazy amber color, scant head. Aroma of caramel, subtle nut. Pretty plain caramel taste, very sweet. Sono d’accordo con Lorenzo, it needs moore complexity.
