Bottle from Eataly, Florence. Murky amber body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, white bread and chalky malt. Flavour of flat lemonade, salt and herbs. It tastes a bit dull for the style. Medium body with an oily texture. Sharp fizz. I’m not overly impressed with this.

A beautiful 33 cl bottle from Eataly (€ 2,30) in Torino, June 2014. Pours a hazy light amber with a small off white head not lasting very long. A faintly malty (hay, wheat) aroma. Tastes similarily malty, also slightly bitterish. Medium body, crisp carbonation. Finish is dry. Not a huge fan of this. Quite a modest beverage.

Pours light yellowish-golden. Aroma has some barley, but not toomuch. Very saison-like, nice. Taste has barley as well, some bitterness attacking my tongue. A beer for farmers - but a more refined version. Good beer to drink, I am not complaining.

Limpida, di color giallo dorato con una bella schiuma fine. Al naso è pulita, odora di frutta tropicale e di erbaceo. In bocca è leggera, watery, molto beverina e con una determinata secchezza che esalta un luppolo persistente e agrumato. Ottima gasatura. Una delle migliori del birrificio per me.

Saison di stampo belga con note pepate al gusto e al naso. Buon corpo con profumi floreali e leggermente fruttati agrumati. ---Rated BY Italianbeer85

Tap. Not your average saison, very strong malt flavour and a big farmhouse yeast kick. Worth a go if you like big and bold beers

Mooie oranje kleur, iets troebel met een volle fijne kraag. Ruikt hop, kruiden, orange, iets bitter. Smaakt fruitig, kruiden, zoetig, iets bittere afdronk.

Bottle from Plonk (BB 07-2015). Cloudy dark gold/brown, frothy/soapy white head, citrus/lemon, watermelon, spice, yeast, sweetish malt, low hopping, creamy mouthfeel, quite nice.

BB 07 2015. Poured a cloudy/murky brownish gold colour with a one- to two-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation medium to high with lots of large bubbles forming trails. Lots of yeast particles settle out. Aroma of sweet malt and citrus/lemon with yeast as it warms. Taste creamy and initially sweet malt followed by nice mild pepper/spice. Light body. Finish slightly spicy and quite sweet. Quite nice.

Bottle: Served in a Duvel glass: Medium sized white foamy head on top of an almost clear dRker yellow golden beer. Aromasof melon, apple pie, dust, some grapefruit, some carbo gass and speculaas. Weird! Flavours of apple pie, porridge, grains, malts, bitters, light spices, some apple beignet, pfff heavy, don’t like the taste that much... Aftertaste is bitter, apple pie, malts... Mehh... Low carbo, creamy silky mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller bodied and a creamy texture... I am sorry, but couldn’t finish a whole glass.
