Aroma is rather stale with some orange and yeast. Almost no CO2 at all. Flavour is yeasty with some citron and orange notes. Like drinking a bun dough with homemade mead.

Bottle. Gold with a white head that fades quickly to a cm. Aroma is floral and lemony with grain and little honey. Fairly light bodied, could use a few more bubbles. Taste is sweet with honey and more than slightly exotic grain. Slightly bitter finish with some spices. For me wanted for a lick more of tartness and/or bitterness, but there’s plenty of intrigue.

Sampled at Bir&Fud, 100ml, draught. Cloudy amber coloured body. Fading white head, fragile lacing. Grassy hops to the nose with dough-like malts. Herbal hops, dough and hints of honey in flavour, as well as a touch of wheat. Soft bittersweet end. Refreshing and easy to drink (Roma, 30.03.2012).

Pours a slightly hazy dull copper color with clean aromas of grapefruit, green hay and bread. a very gaseous head dissipates fairly quickly... Flavors are crisp clean, nice balance of bitter hops and bready malts. There is also a nice underlying sour note that really makes this one refreshing and zippy !

Golden with a small white head. Malty aroma of biscuit and bread crust, with herbal and earthy notes. Sweetish malty flavour with a fruity touch and a little spice and yeast. Full body. Some herbal hops and a good bitterness in the finish.

Le birre antiche venivano fatte con il farro. Non è molto luppolata ma risulta equilibrata e molto buona. E poi il povero farro... Sempre solo soletto nei campi. Era stato quasi dimenticato. Ma ne è stato fatto un buon utilizzo in questo caso.

On tap at Selezione Birra 2012, Rimini. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is bready and grassy with just a touch of yeast. Taste is grassy and flowery with some pepper and bread. Gentla hoppiness confers a bitter-ish finish. Good carbonation. Nothing really amazing to speak of here.

Bottle at The Kernel, thanks to Ed. Pours a lightly hazy gold with a creamy, white cap. Doughy malt aroma. It’s an old bottle and you can detect some age, though it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Medium to big sweet flavor, lots of doughy bread, some white sugar, light caramel. Medium in body with average carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly sticky, bread, dough, caramel. Very nice beer.
