From a 12.7-oz bottle shared by BDR, pours a hazy golden orange colored saison with a thick and rocky off-white head that really sticks with the beer. Aroma of tart pear, some barnyard funk, some yeast, and apricots. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of tart tropical fruits, yeast, barnyard funk, and light lemon. Finish continues the tart fruit aftertaste that slowly dissipates. Pretty decent for an $8 sour saison.

Pours a golden Orange with a thick off-white head. Aroma is yeast, strong lemon, and faint barnyard. Taste is mildly tangy lemon up front moving into pilsner-like malts in the finish. A pleasant beer. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a light tangerine with loads of bubbly head and very active carbonation. Nose is apricot, nectarine pit fruit, lemon and funk. Flavor is amazingly sour with lots of fruity tones to keep it interesting. This is fantastic stuff!

Bottle, 03/03/2012. Pours cloudy orange apricot, a gusher, but the head recedes quickly to a ring around the glass, fed by effervescence. Pleasant, light aroma, fruity funk with apricot, pear, pale malts with a touch of lemon citrus, yeast, slight farmyard. Initially tart taste, more so than indicated by the nose, led by citrus, more white fruits with a slight tropical twist, funky undertone, hint of bleu cheese. Incredibly lively in the mouth, remains light. Very enjoyable saison- the lambic qualities are in full effect, but tempered by saison yeast and malts. Great combination.

Courtesy of BDR. Hazy color with a large head, settling into a medium size. Aroma of soured hay. Strong, very strong floral flavor. Quite lemony and sour.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 75cl bottle. Opens with a small pop. Pours a hazy golden color with a huge white foam. Aroma is wheaty, grainy and funky with pervasive fruit notes. Pineapple and grapefruit are pretty obvious. Citrus too. It smells as if the saison took out most of the "off" aromas of lambic, leaving all the fruitiness and some funk. Awsome so far. Taste is funky and sweet-acidic. Barnyard and a little vinegary. Fruity and caramley, peaches and wheat. Some wood notes. Medium bodied and good carbonation. Cantillon lambic is 15% so the acidity in this one is not over the top and adds an interesting kick and a nice drinkability. Aroma and flavors are intense and fruit as no other sour, amazing.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 12.7oz11.1tle in a tumbler. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, tartness, lots of light fruit and apples, and some floral hops. Flavor the same with some sweetness to add to the strong fruits and tartness. Average texture for this style. A pretty good beer. Edit: 11.1oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with an off-white head. Aroma of sourness, some light funky notes, light oak, some light fruits. Flavor the same. A really cool beer.

Pours pale yellow with a thick white head. Nose is earthy hay, grass and barnyard funk. Taste is so much more sour than the nose let on. But this is a different kind of sour that I haven’t had before. Mild bitterness balances. Mouthfeel crisp and clean, with a long aftertaste.
