Bottle thanks to Paul! Hazy deep gold pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of Brett funk, saw dust, almonds, lemon peels and oak. Flavor is similar with a sweet tart ending. Not too shabby.

A very interesting take on a lambic saison. Pours a basic orange. Smells like a sweet saison. Taste is very dry and a bit sour, not super sweet. Has a champagne finish. Had in the bottle at La Trappe's Italian event. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated on 5-03-2010 (Bottle) The appearance is a small white fizzy head that mostly diminishes, hazy golden body, fizzy carbonation, and a good amount of lacing. The aroma is tart, musty and fruity. The taste is tart, wheat and musty. The palate is light carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, I did not enjoy this beerís flavor as it is somewhat bland and odd tasting.

At my place with Patrick Ashley and Taylor while eating seared tuna. Pours light neon orange. Aroma is fresh citrus zesty Brett, with a ting or tartness. Taste is light soft tart citrus farmhouse Gueuze.

375ml genie bottle from my new home Jesse... Thanks again man! Warning contents under pressure... Thing was like a volcano. Gusher! Anyways, nice opaque yellow orange pour with a massive head. Aroma is fruity... lemon, apples, pineapple, vinous grapes, and a definite tart funk. Taste out shines the smell, very juicy. Slightly tart, bit of farmhouse funk. Apples, grapes, and pineapple. Super high carbonation, very bright, very dry finish. One of the best beers I have had in a while.

Una saison con una sfumatura acida originale e accattivante, che ad una base fruttata ben caratterizzata aggiunge con successo intense note di limone che si intrecciano in un valzer acido-citrico molto intrigante. Davvero buona!

Look: (maybe some gushing at start - happens some times with saisons) Pours with thick, fizzy white head. Slow retention, mostly diminishing, leaves a very thin thick layer. Sticky fair lacing. Medium carbonation, colour is yellow wheat (with light orange hue). Cloudy as fck but the yellow is very intense and looks marvelous, very lively.

Smell: Consists of medium fresh lemony, citrus, wild berries sour and leathery funk. Freshness is very nice and the funk is low-medium, goes along, good balance. Hidden in the backbone lurks light sweetness and some floral notes.

Taste: Lemon, berries sour hits you first, continues with good medium-light funkiness. Just before it goes down there is a small spike of mushroom, wood, earthy tart. Medium sour and light brett funk stay with your at the end. Very light sweet backbone.

Mouthfeel: Very crisp, high carbonation - but isnít annoying (bubbles small enough). Light, dry and fresh.

Overall: Great beer, if funk and sour please you - do yourself a favour and grab this one. Fresh and good balance.

Bottle from a friend I think in the DC area. Enjoyed myself on a lovely afternoon amidst a nice snow-fall at 55 Degrees F in a wine glass.

A - Almost gushed on me but I saved it. I had this sitting up right for a few months before opening in the cellar. Pour was light but the head produced was profoundly 4 fingers of sticky almost whipped meringue head. Beer itself was a golden orange, hazy as the dregs entered the glass. The head took about 5 minutes to subside enough to take a sip.

S - Wow. this is probably the first time Iíve smelled a beer like Hill Farmsteadís saisons. It has that chewy orange skin paired with peppery spice and a tart effervescent medicinal quality. Smells like a lot like Art, Flora or CD 6..somewhere in that realm. Very nice nose! On a longer sniff, more lemons, wheat and pineapple.

T - This is where things get interesting. The taste is not as great as the nose but in a different way. Grassy, peach juice and lemon juice. A slight hint of cider vinegar, leather and funk with an arching sweetness that greatly contributes to the taste. Iím not a fan of íjonge lambicí and much prefer the oude so a lot of characteristics are not that good. It lacks wood, oak tannins.

M - The bottle conditioning yields a wonderful mouthfeel. Itís other-worldly. Very much on par with great Fantome beers and every Hill Farmstead saison especially the tart Brett Clausenii and Lactobacillus that linger for a very long time after each sip.

O - I am permanently ISO more of this beer. Itís really incredible. Great tasting and Iím sad that this was my only bottle.

Small bottle. Gusher as the cap came off. Huge pour with this one. Nearly 3/4 of the glass was foam. Hazy yellow pour with bubbly carbonation. Aromas of lemon, sour funk, grass, hay, and some spice. Flavor is tart but refreshing. Lemon, acid, grass, yeasty funk, and a medicinal hint all inside. Funky and interesting.

Bottle, thanks for the rec GT. Pour is clear bright gold, white head. Good retention/lace. Aroma of dust, herb, floral, grass, light medicinal, light lemon. Taste is tart, lightly bitter, stone fruit, light medicinal, grass, lemon, light perfume. Palate is dry, higher carbonation, slick, light tart/bitter finish.
