Belmont bottle. 33cl bottle. Cap popped off, not a gusher but it bubbles quickly. Really cool and tasty beer. A great cross-breed. Starts like a fruity saison but finishes with some lambic tartness. Neither attribute overpowers the other. Very well done.

14/VIII/13 - 75cl bottle @ Internationaal Streekbierenfestival 2013 (Zwevegem) - BB: n/a (2013-765) Thanks to Domien for sharing today’s beers!

GUSHER ALERT!

Slightly hazy orange beer, creamy white fine head, stable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: very sour, infected, well, that explains the gushing I guess., some citrus, lots of spices, but in general just pretty nasty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sour start, citric, refreshing, fruity, bit chemical, solvents, more soft sourness. Aftertaste: sourish, spicy, pretty weird, chemical touch, little bitter, lemony finish. Ok, it’s complex. I learned afterwards that it was made with Cantillon lambic. But that does not automatically make it a good beer.

From bottle. Hazy golden yellow with a large white head. Aromas of citrus, yeast, malt, bread and fruit. Sour, citrusy, bready flavors. Awesome saison.

reinheitsgematt hooked this up tonight at an impromptu Labor Day BBQ... Thanks Matt!! This was never on my radar. Pours a crystal clear light golden with a sudsy white head... small drapes of lacing. Nose is light spiciness punctuated by a good earthy funk.. the lambic is definitely present. Flavor has a bit of fruitiness that reminds me of fermented out apricot or possibly green apple... dry grassy lawn clippings.. but the funk comes in swinging and doesn’t die back.. well done. Light body with a good carbonation. Matt gave this to me blind... I guessed it was a very old Saison Brett... Good guess I think. Thanks again buddy!

Slightly cloudy blond beer with a nice white foamy head. Slightly saturated. Smells like it has a wild yeast infection. Has a negative nose in general. Sour full bodied taste. I can’t see myself drinking more then one glass of this.

Bottle shared by dudeabide. Pours a hazy golden color with a huge off white head. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of fruit character, citrus, lemon, herbal notes, light funk, mildly spicy, hints of yeast. interesting.

Pours to a hazy straw colored body with a foamy starch white head. The aroma is geueze like with a light barn yard. Flavor is very geueze like like a subtle mango, likely from the saison yeasts. The palate is medium bodied and lightly sour.

12.7oz bottle, shared by Nate. Totally hazy, kind of pale orange-yellow color. Good thin slightly off-white head. Little loose lace. Medium body. Good smooth lighter carbonation. Kind of creamy. Nice light tart taste, little sweet. Good oak. Light lemon-citrus. Some floral. Lindsey points out a lightly dank weedy aroma. I can see that. Good stuff

(375ml bottle thanks to KTown67) cloudy bright gold-orange with lasting fine offwhite head that lasts. Nose of lambic yeast, funky, tart, bits of bleu cheese, wheat, quite spiced as well. Taste of peppercorns, orange zest that’s slightly bitter, tart, unsweetened cranberries, spices, crisp, aged hops, and more citrus flavors lingering around on the palate. A fantastically complex saison, really neat.

Bottle - thanks KnobbyKnobby! Pours hazy golden butterscotch with a huge off-white head that is slowly disispating with nice, somewhat sticky, lacing. Aroma is funky, barnyard, lemon, yeast, horse blanket - very Cantillon. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet and only a light funk, lemon, floral. Dry finish. Light body, bubbly champagnelike carbonation. Quite nice and easy to drink - kind of like a starter gueuze.
