Bottle at DBF2012. Hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma medium malty (caramel, fruity), light yeasty (pepper). Flavor medium sweet, light bitter and spicy. Medium body. Nice.

Bottle from Ashburn wine market. Pours peach with a small white head. HD a bit of a Heineken skunk nose at first but that faded into a slight fruitiness. I Get some coriander on the tongue. The finish has some bite to it. Solid.

Whole Foods, Bowery 37.5cl ($5): Pours an ever so slightly golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, herbal, and even a bit metallic. Taste is herbal tea like, but a lot sweeter, with a hefty malt backbone. Some lingering pretentious candy taste. Reminds me a bit of Turkish delight. Not bad.

Fra flaskepå Tap1 mai-123: det første speltøl jeg har smakt, og det gjester til tranfigelse. Interessant, minner om hveteøl.

redlight (2316) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUL 21, 2011
draft @ redlight redlight. Floral spicy aroma, citrusy. Pours golden orange with a thin white head. Citrusy peppery flavor, very wit like with a little resinous bitterness in the middle and towards the finish. The end is dry with some coriander lingering. Very nice.

Bottle. Really fruity and spicy beer in wich the yeast plays the main character. Quite interesting.

Pours a hazy, dark golden orange color with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Spotty lacingleft behind. Slightly musty, earthy aroma with farmhouse funk, zesty spice, bready yeast and sweeter fruit notes. Hints of grass and straw along with bread, pepper, coriander and orange peel. Medium bodied with tight carbonation and a nice balance of zesty spice, funky saison yeast and sweet fruit notes. Peppery spice up front with the coriander very prominent. This is countered by some bready yeast and slight, earthy funk before finishing with sweet fruit notes. The bread flavor gives fullness to the palate while countering the heavy spice presence. Finishes sweet with hints of apple, tangerine and orange. Well balanced, flavorful and easy to drink. Another nice beer from Del Borgo.

drpimento (2211) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 1, 2012
Poured at a good temperature with a medium sized, off-white head that soon settled down and no lace. Color is a amber with several very tiny bubble trails. Aroma is beery, yeast, spice, wine, bit of malt. Flavor is like nose with carbonic tang briefly right in front then some cloying sweetness, followed by some more tang, bitter, honey, pears. Body is a little weird - soft yet a slight edge from good carbonation. Finish is like flavor, long, and a bit too sweet for me.
