Hazy golden color/ fleeting white head. Peppercorn, spicy, herbal flower aromas. medium bodied and smooth. Mildly tart vegetal, herbal flavors on a solid pils malt base. Unusual spice herb flavors here.

On draught. Slightly cloudy yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet hops and yeast. Taste of citrus fruit, hops and yeast with a slightly sour finish.

Bottle. Light brown/gold pour, white head. Bready malt, earth, and light floral and fruity notes. Decent beer, I just find it rather boring.

On tap at Paradiso. Labeled as a saison. But in fact this is more vienna or lagerish with sweet malt, some cloying, lots of honey. Pours with no lace. No head. Ick. Almost like an ’ice’ macro lager from a gas station.

500. Very cool little capped and foiled bottle with a snappy die-cut label covered in bright greens. Oh, those stylin’ Italians. Pours a cloudy, toffeeish light amber with a dense, creamy platinum blonde that leaves plenty of stringy lace and really sticks around for a while. Interesting nose...floral, reminiscent of sweet cream and caramel. Has an earthy tang to it at the same time. Definitely distinctive. Creamy medium body, decent amount of soft carb but not especially lively in the mouth. Balsa wood, floral notes, sweet cream, fresh earth, and caramel on the mid-palate. Lighty woody finish. Bought it on a lark, drinking it on a lark, still trying to figure out what the flavors remind me of. Couldn’t see paying 30+ cents an ounce for this (I got it half off), but it’s certainly a fine and interesting beer.

Bottle from JV Wine & Spirits in Napa, CA. Pours gold with a huge foamy white head. Nice aroma, but hard to describe. Medium body with foamy carbonation. The flavor is rather concord grapey. Also somewhat woody. Certainly a bittering aspect. Marvelously different and quite wonderful. Finishes clean and refreshing - but quite uncommon.

Bottled at Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. Orange color. Sweet aroma with toffee, orange, meat broth and pepper. Toffeish, orangey and gingery flavor with meat broth. Low bitterness, needs more for a balance.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellowish light copper fluffy slightly diminishing head. Aroma is flowery herbal tea, green and grassy- mint and harsh herbal gentian almost hints of vanilla and dough- potpourri and white cedar. Flavor is slightly salty yeasty dough, crackery malts, light toast green grassy leafy and flowery, teak with yeast in the end with a slight slick finish- herbal and grassy bitterness from the gentian. Not as bitter or harsh/astringent as some other gentian beers.
