Bottle, 75cl. It pours an almost clear body, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Lightly spiced, licorice-like aroma with pale malts and some sugary notes, dried fruits and a hint of something honey like. It’s smooth on the palate, slightly flat, with flavors of pale malts, sugar, spices and some licorice. A quite tasteful beer that I wouldn’t mind drinking again. 120218

from le Mondial de la Bičre 2011, Strasbourg - hazy dark blond beer with a poor head retention; fruity and yeasty aroma with spicy notes (gentian ? If you say it ...); medium-bodied and juicy palate, quite velvety; dry fruity and spicy finish - deeply drinkable

Bottle. Pours a nice slightly hazy golden yellow color with a frothy bright white head. Aroma is very sweet with some pear, citrus, along with loads of floral and earthy notes and some breadiness. Smells kind of like a Belgian Ale. The flavor is again quite sweet and sugary, with the floral and earthy gentiana notes, I also get some citrus, breadiness and an almost yoghurt taste. The body is medium with a lightly glossy/sticky mouthfeel. Overall quite an interesting beer because of the gentiana root.
