Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a huge foamy off-white head. Aroma consists of citrus peel, grapefruit and flowers. There is a nice malty balance to the citrus peel/ fruit presence with a hoppy floral finish.

Clear amber, thin pale head. Aroma of freshly mown grass. Dry, malty, spiced. Not sure about this one. Gentian is a disinfectant that I’ve used to clean out people’s wounds in the emergency room.

Pours golden
Aroma / taste, floral and herbal. Love the idea of the unique use of this flower gentian that really brought something new to a beer.
Beer was really smooth to sip, leaving a fresh floral/herbal feel almost of mint.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6724) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 16, 2008
Small white rim over hazy yellow beer. Spicy, but not overspiced nose, and also a slight chocolate aroma? Again fine spicy taste, this time more coriander-like, but not domination. Light body, and preciously little palate. Doable. Not one you make big searches for, but if you stumble upon it, one to try - only if it is for the gentian.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 wetherel (1837) - Encinitas, California, USA - SEP 6, 2008
An expensive Italian beer generously brought by Sean to a PP tasting. Nice aroma. Smooth, easy to drink. Lemony, but not sour. Light amber color. Very good.

Tasting at PP C-bad, thanks to Peruster! Cloudy light orange hue, no head/lacing. Nose is big floral tones (violet, lilac, lavender), honey, citrus, spice. Taste is light and subdued, mostly honey sweetness with pears, floral tones take over midway with grassy and earthy hops, finishes lightly sweet. Thin and watery texture with minimal carbonation. Overall a nuanced and complex specialty beer with fluctuating flavors and light body. Interesting.

Bottle shared by tertons (I think). Its a gusher. With the beautiful light golden shiny body looks awesome in the glass. Aroma is lemon grass, perfume, and spicy wheat. I bet the gentian is responsible for most of it. The spicy really takes over. A bit too much on the lemon-y side, even for me. Taste is a bit more relaxed but still too much lemon. Easy drinking with a bit of nice placed residual sugar sweetness in the very end of the flavor. Of course the carbonation is strong and stingy.

(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of Gentian flowers, citrus, black pepper, and dustiness. Flavor of florals, biscuit, apricot, tea leaves, and various other herbs. Another interesting brew in Italian brewing.

Bottle, thanks to Bu11zeye.
Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with some sediment floating around and white head. Aroma is very floral. Flavor of grapefruit with an interesting spice, also detecting a little orange?
Has a light-medium body, high carbonation. It was allright...
