Keg North Bar Leeds 12/11/13. A dark brown coloured beer with a white head and lace. A nice hoppy dark beer. Sweeter than our BIPAs with caramel and chocolate notes. Hops are good though for sure. Tasty and moreish with a nice body. A bit of a grassy edge. Lots of oranges. Liked this a lot although stylistically an inbetweener.

Poured from a bottle at Ølfestival 2012, One Pint exhibition stand, thanks to Skinnyviking for a taster. Dark amber coloured body, tiny beige head. Smell of sweaty hops with discreet malty sweetness. Malt-fruity flavour containing herbal hops and slightly roasted malts. Bittering malty endnotes. Satisfying (Copenhagen, 10.05.2012).

2013-05-31. Dark brown body, creamy tan head. 4+ Aroma is interestingly fruity, light notes of malt and green vegetation. 6++. Flavour is similarly fruity, light bitterness throughout, mild malt has some dusty caramel undertones and something vaguely leafy and herbal that I can’t put my finger on. Average bodied palate, modest carbonation. Okay. Bottle at Mondial de la Biere 2013, Montreal

Draught Very fine & dense, good pale cream head over ruby-brown beer. Dry hopbales, ureum, hessian sacks, immortelles. Roasted, meaty, with coloured malts and subdued, but present hops. Finish is bonedry. Woody, straw. Quite slick, medium bodied, well-carbonated feel. Very dry-authentic, but it misses a bit of character. A bit, mind.

Bottle picked up by my dad in a Eataly, Genoa, late Sept/early Oct 2013. consumed at home Saturday 12th October 2013 Pours black with off-white head. A very hoppy nose with some resiny pine in particular showing. Mmmhh.. this is a tasty decent black IPA, there are flavours of caramel and roasted malts coming through but this is very hoppy and the finish is bitter and dry. Really like this. Keg at the Well & Bucket, during the London Bimble. It pours cloudy ruby with a thick beige head. The nose is earthy, toasty, rich roast and charred earth. The taste is bitter, roasty, toast, earth, charred wood and peppery grapefruit with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good flavour for the abv. Nice stuff.

Draft @ ML Fontainas, Italian Fest Sept ’14.

Draught at Open Baladin Roma. Dark brown with orange tints and a high, fine head that went quick to lace. Huge catpiss and citrus nose with light chocolate and caramel, minerals and spice. Flavor of catpiss and chocolate, light coffee. Clean, full, and nice.
