Bottle picked up by my dad in a Eataly, Genoa, late Sept/early Oct 2013. consumed at home Saturday 12th October 2013 Pours black with off-white head. A very hoppy nose with some resiny pine in particular showing. Mmmhh.. this is a tasty decent black IPA, there are flavours of caramel and roasted malts coming through but this is very hoppy and the finish is bitter and dry. Really like this. Draught Very fine & dense, good pale cream head over ruby-brown beer. Dry hopbales, ureum, hessian sacks, immortelles. Roasted, meaty, with coloured malts and subdued, but present hops. Finish is bonedry. Woody, straw. Quite slick, medium bodied, well-carbonated feel. Very dry-authentic, but it misses a bit of character. A bit, mind.

Draught at Open Baladin Roma. Dark brown with orange tints and a high, fine head that went quick to lace. Huge catpiss and citrus nose with light chocolate and caramel, minerals and spice. Flavor of catpiss and chocolate, light coffee. Clean, full, and nice.

Draft @ ML Fontainas, Italian Fest Sept ’14.

Keg North Bar Leeds 12/11/13. A dark brown coloured beer with a white head and lace. A nice hoppy dark beer. Sweeter than our BIPAs with caramel and chocolate notes. Hops are good though for sure. Tasty and moreish with a nice body. A bit of a grassy edge. Lots of oranges. Liked this a lot although stylistically an inbetweener.

18/11/12 - 75cl bottle @ Horecaexpo (Gent) - BB: III/14 (2012-1286)

Clear dark amber to almost brown beer, small off-white irregular head, unstable. Aroma: lots of sweet sugary fruits, syrup, honey, sweet malts. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: some caramel, bit sweet, bitter hops, fruity, ripe peaches. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, some grapefruit, lemon peel, little spicy, some alcohol coming through. Pretty good beer!
