TimE (3638) - Tokyo, JAPAN - SEP 14, 2014
light brown color. Not enough roast in the body and comes across much more like a hoppy brown ale, with tropical fruit notes. Very similar to Baird Angry boy brown ale. Not a black IPA at all. Not bad, if trying for brown ale.

Keg@against the grain
Deep ruby amber with dense foamy beige head. Berry fruits and yoghurt on the nose, sherbet, sharp, perhaps kiwi hops, pithy dry finish. Decent but not really a BIPA.

Backlog rating. Keg at Kings Arms tap takeover, London. It pours a hazy dark brown color with ruby edges and a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts and dried fruits, toffee. Taste is quite harsh roasty and bitter with notes of coffee, earth, cocoa, tangy red berries and piny hops. Finishes resinous and bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Decent BIPA, not the freshest hops

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Dark murky brown pour with a small ram head and nice lacing. Nose shows burnt and ashy malts with bitter chocolate and citrus. Quite bitter through the taste. Dark chocolate with hints of citrus zest and charcoal notes. Heavily roasted almost burnt tones throughout. A little over carbonated but other than that quite pleasing
