Color marrone schiuma mediamente persistente. Al naso viene subito fuori la luppolatura ricca di oli essenziali tipica del Caskadian. Al palato esce fuori anche un p di tostatura, sempre ottimamente schermata dal luppolo. Finale persistente e duraturo.

Keg North Bar Leeds 12/11/13. A dark brown coloured beer with a white head and lace. A nice hoppy dark beer. Sweeter than our BIPAs with caramel and chocolate notes. Hops are good though for sure. Tasty and moreish with a nice body. A bit of a grassy edge. Lots of oranges. Liked this a lot although stylistically an inbetweener.

Growler. Amber with a modest pale beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, toast, a hint of chocolate. Truly bittersweet - no separate sweetness and bitterness, but lingering grapefruit and pine after sticky breadcrust and a little chocolate depart. Chirpy and engaging.

Bottle from Craftissimo at home. Dark dark amber pour with thick foamy head (doesn't look dark enough to be a black IPA). Aroma is appealingly hoppy - pine and Granny Smith apples with a bit of breadiness too. Palate is light and smooth (like all Borgo beers I've had, though this one not as smoothly carbonated). Assertive hops in the taste - sharp and crisp but enough malts to round out the taste nicely. A of bit sour apple, pine, and bitterness. The most "American" of the Borgo beers I've had I think. Really good.

bottle. High credamy off-white head. Hazy dark brown body. Roasted barley malt chestnut caramel sweet aroma. Coffee roasted malt liquorice flavor with a low carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.
