COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Editor’s note: wrongly listed at 10% in 2013 on the brewery website, while labels report 9.2%

Pours jet black with steady carbonation and a white foamy head. A bit of chocolate & coffee in the aroma with plenty of dried berries & citrus hops. Well balanced with a bitter finish. For 9.2% abv, very easy to sup, quite thin palate for the abv. Enjoyed this

Bottle from mane liquor. Jet black pour with little to no head. Nose doesn’t have an awful lot to it...dry roasted malt and licorice. Taste is very smooth. Not a massive stout to what I was expecting. Sweet taste but lacks that strong bitterness and roastyness. Easy drinking stout and cool bottle

Bottle share at Ma Che, Roma, 09/02/13, thanks to Manuele. Label states 9.2% ABV. Mid black with a thin tan head. Nose is dark fruits, roast malt, brown sugars. Taste comprises roast malt, sugars, molasses, hint of chocolate. Full bodied with moderate carbonation leading to a dry finish. Drinkable RIS but lacking a little complexity to make it a great.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Black pour with little to no head. Light cream ring left around the glass. Nose is a little one dimensional and boring. Dry roast, liquorice, slightest hint of smoke. Taste shows loads of liquorice, bitter sweet chocolate, vanilla, cream and warming alcohol. Solid. Quite balanced. Little thin. Good go but not as heavy as I was expecting. Best looking 330ml bottle set though! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Particolare, molto buona.
