Editor’s note: wrongly listed at 10% in 2013 on the brewery website, while labels report 9.2%

330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Roasty, minimally dusty, dark malty aroma, a touch of liquorice, latte macchiato, honey. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty, alcoholic-vinous, some cocoa, hints of blue grapes, treacle, honey, a touch of liquorice; full body, viscous texture, slightly sticky palate.

Rating #1064, serveret på Open Baladin i Rom. Gråsort øl med luftigt skum. Mildt syrlig og maltet duft. Smagen har lakrids, malt og en del syrlighed samt krydret humle, peber og en god bitterhed. Ret tynd konsistent. Ok.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Rome. BBE 11/2014.
Pours pitch black color with a large beige head. Lots of oat on the nose, chocolaty, a bit malty and faint raspberries. Salty licorice on the flavor, roasted malts, chocolate and cocoa, some oats too.Very thick and full-bodied, rich. Better than I expected.

Aroma has sweet cocoa notes and some oat. Also chocolate and alcohol. Flavour has oat, alcohol. chocolate and cocoa. Also somewhat salty licorice. Quite typical oat-IS, but I like it. Definitely better than I expected. Gets some weird herbal tones at the end of the glass with yeast poured in.

Bottle. Black in color with a tan head. Roasted coffee, cocoa powder and dark fruits. On the sweeter side tastewise at first with chocolate and licorice. Later on more coffee vibes appears with some bitters too. Bit of burning warmer notes in the end.

Bottle 33cl. Black with a small beige head. Tar aroma, black... Very rich beer, full bodied. Dry fruit with some bitter chocolate at the finish. Nice beer with subtle oak aging. You feel the alcohol as well. Long finish.

Lightly brown creamy foam. The first aroma perceived is toasted wood and sweet caramel. Aftertaste of bread, chocolate, roasty and licorice. Perfectly balanced and long aftertaste. The oak is not incident.

At a tasting, thanks Stas, very small bubbly head, opaque black color, thick pour, aroma of cocoa, vanila, dark bread and some wood, flacor of chocolate cake, dark bread amd some prunes, surprisingly strong sourness, relativly light body. Nice and quite easy to drink.
