COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Imperial Stout inspired by the traditional Imperial Russian Stouts that were created in London in the XVIII century by the Thrale’s Brewery, especially for Catherine II’s court in Russia. With its deep dark colour and an important ABV, Imperiale it’s the perfect beer for the coldest months thanks to its round, rich and creamy body and it’s roasted coffee and liquorice notes that softly mingle with the honey ones. Uniques features given by the different variety of malts we used, but also by the three month ageing in wooden barrel.

Deep reddish colour with a tan head. Malty, dark fruit and chocolate sweet aroma. Malty, dark fruit sweet flavor with fruity notes. Dusty finish.

Black color; thin creamy head. A Stout with a nice aroma, creamy, roasted; but the flavor is less impressive, ordinary, even with a very light infection or fermentation problem. Not bad, but could be better.

Sample from bottle. Pours deep amber. Aroma of is deep malt and soft liqourice, buttery. Flavour is thick, buttery malty flavours.

Bottle. Big thanks to Thomas! Small to no head. Spar lacing. Dark brown colour. Heavy butter and burned notes. Flavour was heavy malt with light hoppy notes in there as well. Medium bodied with a very flat carbonation. Light bitter finish. In my opinion a very strange experience, don’t quit know what to make of it.

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of Thomas_E. Hazy, reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Qite full-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt, accents of raisins and a distinct touch of butter. Some bitterness and some acidity. This ought to be fresh but it for sure ain’t. Pity. 230407

Hazy amber beer with a medium lasting white head. Light hop aroma, malt, spice, flowers and some herb that could be the gentian. Sweet grain dominated flavour with a hint of spice. Absolutely must be cool or "sweet spicy" turns into "cloying and sticky"
