Buona.

Black color; small head, not persistent. Mild roasted malt and wet cardboard aroma, very light alcohol. The body is not too strong; reasonable chocolate and roasted malt flavor, quite sweet, but also with a strange feeling of brown sugar that is not very much appreciated. Low bitterness; the final is not very exciting, there is just some sweet chocolate and traces of mild coffee. Too simple.

Bottle. Thanks for the recommendation, John. Pours with a thinner dark tan head that leaves an oily looking tan film on top of a nearly jet black body that leans brown. Sweet, rich maltiness with some light roastedness. Sweet, fresh can sugar and caramel. Certainly pushes sweet in the aroma, but for some reason it’s really working for me. Taste is not nearly as sweet as suggested in the aroma. Some lacto-like sweetness, caramel, faint bit of smoke and tobacco. More savory finish. Viscous, heavy body with very soft (almost too little) carbonation. Tasty brew, but doesn’t really compete with the top of the style range. Nice stuff, though.

courtesy of fiulijn - very dark brown almost black coloured and with no foam left; aroma of licorice and dark cherries with a fair hop presence; chocolate and ashes; full-bodied and a low carbonation; creamy and smooth palate, some sweetness; sweetish aftertaste with notes of cane sugar - a bit weird

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of soy sauce and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and soy sauce as well as lighter notes of bread and chocolate.
