Kauge (842) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 23, 2015
Bottle from Eataly in Rome. Pours a dark brown colour, with a thick, persistent and well-lacing beige head. The nose consists of roast, chocolate, black bread, dark fruits and red berries, ashtray, nuts, green apples - itís sourish and sweet, with a tingle of leafy, herbal notes. Pretty hard to describe. Tastes sweet, with that same appley fruitiness and plums, mixing with roast and sour notes, and a dry, ashy, bitterish finish. A bit of a leafy fresh effect stays at the roof of the mouth. Light on the palate, with modest carbonation, and silky mouthfeel. Pretty nice overall. I donít think Iíve had a tobacco-infused beer before. Will look out for more examples.

750ml bottle. Dark brown almost black color with beige head. Roasted malty aroma, licorice, chocolate, coffee, caramel, something spicy like mint. Sweet and bitter taste. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation

hrabren (313) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 9, 2015
0.33 bottle from Za popenít, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Pitch black with small tan head, looks like coffee. Typical roasty aroma, some chocolate there, metal. Roasty, dry, some acidity in the finish, no real trace of tobacco. Coffee maybe. Not bad, but Iím not impressed.

Looks, smells and tastes like a regular porter. Taking into account that I knew it had tobacco added, and if you really dig for it, you can find some faint notes. But overall itís a really nice and easy drinking porter.

Aroma: roasted, burned, some ash, hops. Taste: dry with moderate hop bitterness. Pleasant burned and hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Some wild notes in the flavour.

Porter, colore molto scuro, ha la particolaritŗ di essere fatta anche foglie di tabacco, anche se il sapore di tabacco non si sente particolarmente. Comunque buona birra

Tasted from the tap on the 20/06/2015. Black opaque colour with a medium lazy head. Aroma of coffee and minerals. Taste is intense and complex. Next one please!

bartlebier (2760) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUN 26, 2015
33cl bottle bb01/2017, Geers. One of many tobacco-infused/inspired beers hailing from Italy, this time very subtly done and well-integrated on a near-exclusive British style porter base. Aroma more of sweet roasted hazelnut and coffee gelato, with an ever so subtle surplus of leafiness and exotic roast which might be attributed to the leaves. Elegant light mouthfeelmaking the most of the low abv, transporting espresso-doused stracciatella, more hazelnut and a great drying UK leafy bitterness complementing the vegetal notes of the tobacco rather well.

Piý tabacco per le birre che per il fumo.ebano scuro, aroma sentore caffŤ con taglio affumicato e spezzato al tabacco, per un ex fumatore come me dannatamente Buona. Da riprovare, riprovare

Neorej80 (412) - - JUN 6, 2015
UPDATED: JUN 7, 2015 Roasted aroma with a touch of rasins and bread. Almost black colour, fast vanashing brown head. Dry roasted, a bit creamy and sour (rasins, grapes). The tabacco in it is not really present although it might add something to the dry, roasty aftertaste. Great porter, but a bit too save maybe... might have been more expressive if they?d added a bit more tabacco to challenge the tastebuts.
