COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Brewed with 39% of Sangiovese wine wort, fermented with wine yeast and refermented with champagne yeast.
Produced at Azienda Agricola Tenuta di Bibbiano.

Bottle: Served in a wine glass: Lively and right away disappearing apricot head. Warm and exotic hazy orange body. Aroma is different, logicwise seeh the use of wine wort, wine yeast and champagne yeast. There’s a dominating earthy tone that’s combinee with cabbage/cooked vegetables, rubber/plastic trash bag, wood, yeast, a hint of something light fruity and some vinous funk. The flavour has the typical wine warmth and funky dryness with a dry malt cabbage/vegetable bitter tone. There’s rubber, light fruit, bread and a wood tint. Aftertaste is bitter, light dry, vinous with a light fruity touch. Quite nice. There’s a strange earthy/cabbage/bitter tone that makes the beer incredible strange and a bit unbalanced, also a bit complex. This is not your easy drinker Sour Ale, but rather a complex vinous style beer, one I haven’t found to be this close to wine, funky wine!

Pours a clear red beer with a small white head that decays quickly. Smells of sweet fruits, grapes. Tastes sweet and sour. Big palate, very carbonated. Great unique beer. Def worth the price!

Boxed head basher bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy copper with fizzy white head. Nose is grapes, champagne yeast. Tastes like a champagney concord wine, with more tartness and funk, and a long finish with the purple grapes being the predominant flavor. Unique, with a complex finish.

Dark pink to brown, really nice carbonation. This one gushed like crazy. The aroma is really interesting. Super aroma of grapes, wine like, just really nice smell. Really great mouthfeel. Just good champagne like dryness. Super nice. I like this beer a lot. Great malt profile, tons of grape tastes, very dry. raspberry, fig, grape. lots of depth. this is fantastic.

small bottle sample shared at a bar, from 750cl bottle. poured an amber colour with a deep red shade to it leaving a small off white coloured ring on top. notes of funky notes, grape skin, citrus, vineous notes, white grapes, spicy yeast, sweet marmalade, carbonation, oak, champagne, tart berries, musky malts notice, very weird combination. that didn’t end up like the way it should have been imo...

Bottle with Rachel & Pavel. Pours Pinkish Orange with a slim bubbly White head. Aroma of unkempt must. Like the smell of a cheap vinoteka or poorly cleaned up floor spill wine. Slightly vegetal, vinegary component. grapes and woodiness smashed together with a high ABV. Interesting but I didn’t like it so much.

Bottle at Brewers Beer Bar, Göteborg. Thanks Victor! Slightly hazy reddish copper beer with a decent lasting offwhite head. Sourish fruity vinous aroma, grapes, citrus, funky, woody notes, caramel, raisins, grapefruit, rhubarb notes, hay, some figs. Sour woody flavor, grassy, vinous, raisins, funky, rhubarb notes, caramel, leather notes, grapes, some yeast. Quite nice, well aged.

Bottle from Archive, Brisbane (2011 Vintage, purchased June 2014). Clear orange/copper, quickly fading champagne-like head, grape/wine aroma, sourness is there but quite mild, red wine, oak, funky, dank, bubbly carbonation, sweet but sour finish. Ok.
