3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Interesting wine / beer hybrid. Fox red amber, little tanned head. Nose is oxidation, dust, mellow spoiled red fruits. Carbonation is too high, obscuring the taste a bit. Taste is dull strawberry, fizzy, malt, empty, basic white sugar, yeast, med. sweetness, light grapes, a lot of the wine part seems to have fermented out here. A bit dull really to be honest, def. expected more from this one. Okay but not if you purchased a bottle unlike me given the price.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
At Vinocom, Zagreb, Croatia. Thanks Birra del Borgo crew. Went out quickly after a pop. Deep copper, bubbly head. Wine, red fruits, sour fruits. Wine character with a sour note in the beginning, sweet afterwards. Grapes, fruit aromas, you can feel the wine wart. Medium body, medium carbonation. Alcohol well hidden. Very good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted on 10/9/15 from a capped 750mL bottle purchased at Craft Brewed, huge gusher. Pours cloudy, rusty red with a huge off-white head that slowly recedes to thick lace. The nose is very vinous, dusty grapes, raisinated sweetness, brown sugar, a yeasty, lightly funky note. The flavor is very vinous, tastes like an aged Champagne with some red wine and malty beer added. The yeast flavor is a very interesting addition, giving just a bit of funk. The body is full with very lively carbonation and a long lightly funky, yeasty, grapey, malty finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a clear Amber colour with a disappearing head. The aroma has fruity notes, grapes, wood, vinous. Immediately apparent is the champagne-like texture with a very strong and fine carbonation, sweetness, yeast, light bitterness and a light acidity. A fun beer, tasty too.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Served in a wine glass:
Lively and right away disappearing apricot head.
Warm and exotic hazy orange body.
Aroma is different, logicwise seeh the use of wine wort, wine yeast and champagne yeast. There’s a dominating earthy tone that’s combinee with cabbage/cooked vegetables, rubber/plastic trash bag, wood, yeast, a hint of something light fruity and some vinous funk.
The flavour has the typical wine warmth and funky dryness with a dry malt cabbage/vegetable bitter tone. There’s rubber, light fruit, bread and a wood tint.
Aftertaste is bitter, light dry, vinous with a light fruity touch. Quite nice.
There’s a strange earthy/cabbage/bitter tone that makes the beer incredible strange and a bit unbalanced, also a bit complex. This is not your easy drinker Sour Ale, but rather a complex vinous style beer, one I haven’t found to be this close to wine, funky wine!

Great unique beer. Def worth the price!
