COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Brewed with 39% of Sangiovese wine wort, fermented with wine yeast and refermented with champagne yeast.
Produced at Azienda Agricola Tenuta di Bibbiano.

Bottle at Brewers Beer Bar, Göteborg. Thanks Victor! Slightly hazy reddish copper beer with a decent lasting offwhite head. Sourish fruity vinous aroma, grapes, citrus, funky, woody notes, caramel, raisins, grapefruit, rhubarb notes, hay, some figs. Sour woody flavor, grassy, vinous, raisins, funky, rhubarb notes, caramel, leather notes, grapes, some yeast. Quite nice, well aged.

Bottle from Archive, Brisbane (2011 Vintage, purchased June 2014). Clear orange/copper, quickly fading champagne-like head, grape/wine aroma, sourness is there but quite mild, red wine, oak, funky, dank, bubbly carbonation, sweet but sour finish. Ok.

In bottle. Reddish carent head. Amber with orange shadows. Cloudy. Medium intense, not very persistent. Vinous at nose is preminent. Citrus. Strong carbonation. Vinous taste in the entry, a bit bitter arrives for a moment and after I can taste the malty sweet in the end.

Bottle at home (LS115/10, best before 11/2017). Pours hazy orange amber with a fizzy fast disappearing head. Aroma is sour apples, fruity, funky, hay, barnyard, vineous. Taste is sweet/sour, fruity, berries, red wine, hints of champagne. Tardness is a bit too much here. Sour aftertaste. Different and quite nice.

from bottle at mondial 2014, mtl. cloudy golden orange pour with a decent off-white head offering some retention. lightly toasted maltiness, definitely a fruity presence - berries if not grapes - imparted by fruits and yeast - also brett and champagne dryness, herbal-grassy and very peppery. lively carbonation - some champagne-like bubbles, light to medium body - oily and never too heavy, relatively dry grassy-peppery-spicy finish. interesting.

Pours a really hazy orange with a small weak rim that doesn’t leave much lacing. I blame the handling of the bottle on this one, though, so your bottle may well be better. Nose is fresh, spicy, vinous and lightly tart (well, you get the impression of a tart beverage to come). Taste is of grapes and less tart than the nose would suggest but still nice. Finish is fruity and a little acidic. Mouthfeel was vinous, carbonation medium to high and body kind of light. Nice one!

A hazed reddish copper ale with a thin pinkish head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light lactic acid notes, horse blanket, very nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with smooth lactic notes, light ground cherry, smooth and refreshing. Bottle at Mondial 2014.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, thanks to Kenny, 12/05/14. Hazed orange amber with reddish hues topped with moderate off white spotting. Nose is bitter fruit rinds, orange, light sherry vibes, spice, straw. Taste comprises bitter orange, dried apricot, champagne yeast, tarte peach, hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Interesting enough offering, not too shabby!
