COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Brewed with 39% of Sangiovese wine wort, fermented with wine yeast and refermented with champagne yeast.
Produced at Azienda Agricola Tenuta di Bibbiano.

Pours pinkish red with a very small white head. Nose is peaches, tangerine, bubble gum and cherry. Taste is tart at first with a hair of sweetness the mixes in with bitterness on the finish. True champagne taste. Mouthfeel is crisp and poppin fizziness. Long aftertaste with a very light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

24/03/2013 750ml bottle @ La Tana (thankd Dario for sharing!). Rosa antico, lievemente torbida, schiuma leggera che svanisce rapidamente. Aroma vinoso, sentori di champagne, acidulo, frutta rossa e malto, leggeri off flavours.

Bottle shared at the March tasting in Santa Cruz. Tastes like half-fermented grapes and ethanol with a vague blonde ale base. Meh.

Bottle thanks to Ansjelaah. Clear rose-like reddish color, no head. Don’t get much aroma other than winey and some sourness. Taste lightly sourness, winey, some alcohol and just great. Medium to full body and medium carbonation. Lovely beer.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours light pinky red with a one finger width white, foamy head on top which hangs around and leaves great lacing. Nose shows sweet grapes, strawberry, cherry, a touch of tart but ever so light. A sweet fruit charged aroma, very appealing. Taste reminds me of a Rose. Fantastic depth and complexity. Loads of sweet citric and summer fruits - orange, strawberry, apricot. Really quaffable. You would think its a 5% beer! Amazing stuff

750mL bottle from Grassroots. Brewed with Chianti grapes. Hazy orange pour with a small soapy, loose ring of white head that disappears completely and doesn’t lace. Sweet fruitiness, yeast, and definitely wine on the aroma. The flavor is much the same, again plenty of wine aspects... fruity, grapes, a touch of dryness, and more. Very interesting.

The aroma is sweet and tart with a strong fruity wine presence. The appearance is blush with a large fizzy head that fizzes away quickly. The taste is like the aroma being sour and vinous with a mineral bitter finish. The palate is like a cola. Overall it’s not my thing.

Bottle. This beer is averything and nothing at the same time. A mix of red wine, barley wine, lambic and champagne, but different from each of these. Appearance is great, deep pink/ruby colour with a small white head. Aroma is complex and varying. There is red wine with red beeris, strawberries, leather, basement and farmhouse character. There’s malt and some booze, barley wine like. Taste is similarly mixed and complex, mostly sweet. Dark fruits and beeries, some acidic note, basement and sweat alongside wood and apricots. Body is medium with good carbonation. Overall, the most difficult beer to rate for ne so far. Definitely outstanding as a drink, but not sure as a beer. I will rate for my taste. Certainly high quality product though.

Bottle through a friend. Wineous smell with grapes, berries and fruits. Similar taste, sweet and fruity. Feels more like champagne then beer.
