COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Brewed with 39% of Sangiovese wine wort, fermented with wine yeast and refermented with champagne yeast.
Produced at Azienda Agricola Tenuta di Bibbiano.

Bottle shared with oteyj, craftcarl21, staff and the CDC and DoS crew. One bottle went a long way! Clear bright golden color, white coca-cola head. Aroma of dusty grapes and the feet that stomped them. Taste is green apple skins and a sweet start, then dry champagne, and finally slight funk. Interesting.

Pours pinkish red with a very small white head. Nose is peaches, tangerine, bubble gum and cherry. Taste is tart at first with a hair of sweetness the mixes in with bitterness on the finish. True champagne taste. Mouthfeel is crisp and poppin fizziness. Long aftertaste with a very light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sample courtesy of Alessio Leone at EBBC12. Light pinkish amber. Funky, musty, grapey nose, slightly tart and very winey. Very fizzy.

Bottle at EBBC12. Pinkish and cloudy, with lots of red fruit on the nose. Noticeably winey.

It looks like sparkling rose wine, a bit pink with no head. Aroma has some cork, oak, sour yeast. It’s sweet and sour and fruity. Thin, watery texture. Looks, smells and tastes like a wine.

Corked bottle from Eataly, Bologna
Hazy amber color with copper and red shades; very short head retention. The aroma is very fruity, vinous, with notes of wood and vinegar. Good body structure, although the mouthfeel is lean and quite dry; it’s also soft, highlighting a very light sweetness in the end; good flavor, with woody and fruity tones. Mild final astringency and acidity.
Good, but the high alcohol content, the moderate bitterness and the wood/fruit character are not cohesive. And it’s overpriced.

Drank at Ma Che Siete, Rome. Poured a cloudy gold with a white head. Initial hit on the aroma is a bit sharp and gets in the back of your nose but it mellows nicely. Fruity, apples, berries, hint of vinegar and some sourness. Quite enjoyed this, it slotted into a heavy day quite nicely.

Thanks to travlr for this one! Clear, sparkling golden pour. Nose holds moscato, white wine, port, and a touch of earthy, fruity funk. The flavor brings more apple, grape, bosc pear, and the funk dries it out the finish. Quite nice!

Defenitively one of my favourites beers! Very particular, it is an hybrid between a champagne taste with something that reminds you about a beer. Good sparkling level, very good also with fish or seafood!
