3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance has an incredible cream-colored huge thick, very long-lasting head, with some lace and a cloudy honey amber color. aroma is used bread dough and hops. Flavor is like aroma plus some additional flavors of resin, wood, malt sweetness and slightly oxidized hops. Body is very good. not sure what kind of beer this is; tastes to me a little bit like an old ale, but whatever kind it is, it's decent enough.

Bottle. Dark yellow body with a creamy offwhite head. Grassy aroma with herbs and sweet malt. Taste of pine, grass, faint citrus, candy. Short bitterness, and lacking a bit in the finish which is mostly grass and sugar.

Pours a hazy orange copper color with a finger of eggshell foam. Nice balance of rustic fieldgrain, soft nuttiness, tart citrus and a long bitter quality that mingles with the estery yeast nuances to create a pretty unique and delicious beer !

750 ml bottle from Eataly Bari, served in a Teku glass. Lovely rich and deep red/dark amber, with a nice and fluffy dark yellow/light beige head. Great looking beer. Great lacing as well. Aroma of candied fruits, some citrus, spicy notes from the yeast, a bit of sugary booze. So smooth and velvety, with the alchool not showing up at all like in the aroma. Quite sweet upfront, with some spicy and sugary notes, but then it gets more fruity, slightly bitter with a long and persistent earthy/roots aftertaste . Great drinkability, very soft carbonation, medium body. Nice surprire, this is a little masterpiece!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 28, 2014 Bottle, 12C. Clear amber with a large light beige head that lasts very well. Aroma of light toffee, honey, bread, cloves, coriander, hints of grapefruit - malty with rather jarring spices. Smooth, medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with grapes as well as the sticky breadish malt. Again the spices stick out a bit much and there’s a harsh, biting element to them, but there’s a lingering honeyed sweetness that’s nice. [3.0]
Restoppered this after not much enjoying it and returned to it tonight thinking I’d lower the score because the harsh spice notes lingered forever. But tonight it’s softened considerably. Head around 3 inches, some floaties from the second half of the bottle. Still a bit much clove and coriander. Still not convincing, but much better.
