COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Pilser" realizzata con Sam Calagione del birrificio Dogfish Head (USA). Pils, Carapils, Simcoe, Warior, Saaz <nt>

Bottle-purchased at Guacamole’s in Las Cruces, NM June 2013 Pours lightly hazy yellow hue with a soapy white head that was forever lasing. great lacing from the get go. nose is really bold, asertive spicy hops with notes of sulfur, spice (noble hops), lite leafy aspects, lite alcohol detected as well. smells like an amped up pils. flavors show the big gold hops going on here-leafy, lightly spicy, herbal, with a huge wallop of bitterness here. finish is very dry noble hop spicy bitterness here with a touch of alcohol and i mean just a touch. really big ibu’s here-probably around 90-100. This wasn’t a cheap beer but it was definately really good! Now i need to find the DFH version and compare. this beer has some lite musket grape notes almost champaign like notes long into the finish. tasty!

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy yellow-orange colour with a creamy off-white medium head. Aroma of citrus, fruity hops, spices and hay in the background. The flavour is slightly sour with citrus, grassy hops, some sweet fruit and alcohol. Has a slick mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. It’s like a nice mix of an IPA and a wit. One of a kind taste.

7.5% a 750ml bottle I shared after the Saison event/ It pours a nice rich gold with a fluffy head. The aroma was full & fruity , a really great clear taste with fruity/spicy hop notes. Very well balanced, astringeant aftertaste but my impression was overall of fruity bitter deliciousness. Possibly my favorite Birra Del Borgo beer? I am not a big lager guy but this was really nice.

Unclear medium yellow with large fluffy white head, lasting with lace. Aroma is delightfully hoppy; citrus, lemon, floral, spicy, soft and wispy-like but full of character. Flavor follows with some initial sweetness followed by the hopppy bitterness. Medium body, clean and refreshing with pleasant grapefruit bitter finish.

Bottle, shared april 13th 2013. Hazy yellow, orange tint with a big white head. Very hoppy aroma, flowers, grapefruit and peach. Crisp malt, all in a very good balance. Taste doesn’t disappoint, herbal and tropical, with a dry grain taste. Finish of tropical fruits, I find this a very interesting imperial pils.

Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a moderate, but quickly disappearing white head. Aroma is a pungent tartness, difficult to describe. Hints of sour fruits. Taste mildly sour with a light sweetness. Light to medium in body with heavy carbonation. Sour lingers into finish. Interesting beer, but not my style.

Tap. Pours clear pale amber, minimal head, little lacing. Aroma is honey, grass, slight bathroom. Flavor is the same, medium sweet, somewhat floral, light bitterness. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Easy to drink, unremarkable.
