Tasted on 1/26/13 from a capped 375mL bottle purchased at Grand Cru. Pours murky dark orange with a massive, rocky off-white head that slowly recedes to very thick, rocky lace. The nose is some pale cereal malt with with plenty of tropical fruit and dank green hops. The flavor features fuller malt than the nose would have suggested, with some caramel and toffee, and the hops coming through with tons of tropical fruit and some nice green bitterness on the back of the palate. The body is medium with average, stinging carbonation, and a long tropical fruit and bitter hops finish. This drinks more like an IPA/IIPA than a lager.

Slightly hazy translucent straw-gold with thick fluffy fine head. Smells of pineapple, grassy hops, resin, some alcohol. Very juicy aroma, esp. for a pilsener. Tastes of heavy dry hops, a touch of peppery clove. Bitter dry spicy finish. Has an underlying dryness like pilsener but lots of flavour and a nice slickness in the body that's unexpected for a pilsener. Very tasty, hoppy and drinkable.

HKdIPA (117) - HONG KONG - APR 10, 2014
Slightly hazy golden pour with big head. Pilsnery pineapple aroma with fruity hoppy hints too. Taste is big fruity hops with a bit of grassiness. Sweet. Followed by bitter hop finish - not as dry as you'd expect for a pilsner, and almost more like a bitter IPA. Very good - would definitely buy again.

Very hazy with decent head. Has nice crisp lager flavor but with a higher alcohol taste. Would definitely buy again.

Big big lager. Nice and hazy with soft diffuse head. Big hop profile as expected which just succeeds in tempering the slightly boozy sweetness. Overall great but not a patch on the BA version.

Mooie oranjegele kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt fruitig, hop, citrus, bloemig en iets caramel. Smaakt lekker bitter en iets zoet, hop, orange en grapefruit. Goede bittere afdronk.

Pours golden with nice but short-lasting foamy head Aroma is of pineapple Taste - you get a clear, crisp and refreshing pilsner in your face and then BOOM the bitterness of the hops kick on the way down. Light bodied with lively carbonation as you would expect from a pilsner. Bitter taste of the hops lingers around for a little while just to assert their presence! Alcohol is present but nor overwhelming - well balanced. I found this beer to be quite innovative as I have never tried anything like this before - I was not sure what to expect. I like pilsners and I like beers on the higher end of the IBU spectrum and this was appealing on both fronts.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours clear gold, extremely hoppy verging on syrupy with a colourful array of lemon, honey and pineapple and a nice tingling bitterness. Taste is robust, with every ounce of it’s 7.9% ABV coming through. Liked this a lot.

Slightly hazy golden colour with just a tint of orange. Thin, but ample, white head with excellent lacing. Strong aromas of pine, passion fruit and honey. Floral, with hints of grass, pepper and spice. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Lightly sweet initial flavours of a buscuity malt with notes of passion fruit and other tropical fruits. Dry finish, with bitter flavours of pine and lemon. Aftertaste is slightly spiced. Excellent beer.

Good beer, floral bouquet, in mouth the start is bitter, but few seconds after, the hop notes are equilibrated with sweet notes and refreshing aftertaste...
