3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A pleasant semi-sweet, yeasty, fruity, slightly spicy blonde ale. Good.
How: From a bottle at Mondial De La Bičre 2012
The look: Cloudy yellow-blond body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is bright with some kind of spiced mandarine cocktail over a bed of flowers, very aromatic stuff here. Taste is like chewing on a mix bag of dried fruits (dried little orange cubes, dried slices of bananas, dried apricots, more…), some coriander-ish and ginger-ish spiciness, honeyed hay, dusty yeast, grassy and floral hops. Strong yeast presence. Yellowed grass in the finish almost dry out the beer. Pleasant big fluffy mouthfeel with a lively carbonation. A bit too sweet for my dryness-seeking palate but I found it nonetheless enjoyable. Got a generous 6oz sample and can easily imagine myself drinking a lot more of this. Another beer I had at Mondial 2012, I was using all my lunch breaks from work every day to go to Mondial and drink beer instead of having lunch, but don’t you dare calling people like me a drunk (us drunks really hate that).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Colore dorato, aspetto molto torbido.
Odore agrumato, erbaceo, sapore ancora piů intenso erbaceo e di agrumi, amaro lungo al gusto pompelmo e mandarino.
Ricorda piů una IPA o APA piuttosto che una strong lager.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A quite murky, yellow, calmly bubbling beer with a dense, medium and blond head. Aroma is strongly citrusfruity, grapefruits and mandarin, some pure grain. The great aroma. Taste has rich and smooth grain, grapefruits and mandarin, medium bitterness is citrusfruity with a twist of grass. Almost full bodied, very smooth. Velvety palate and citrusfruity flavours. The glass is empty too soon. The great beer.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20
Very light aroma, strong head, surprisingly creamy on the pallet with a sweet and sweaty finish. More hop in the aroma than the pallet.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It pours from the bottle with a cloudy, muted, orange-yellow color and is topped by a giant, dense, foamy head. The aroma has a decent yeast presence, some dull, earthy/leafy hops, a little bit of bready sweetness, and a tiny hint of alcohol. The flavor has a nice contrast of dense, woodsy bitterness against a chewy, yeasty breadiness. The light carbonation allows a mouth-filling, resinous texture to develop. Overall, this one is a bit hefty, with a rustic and bold flavor profile that is quite satisfying.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ home. Pours a hay-colored hazy liquid with a tall and lasting white head with quite of lot of lacing. Dry and a bit sweet aroma of pine apple, hop resins, mango, orange, candy & grass,. Toast, honey and sugar. Quite light bodied with smooth carbonation. Taste is dry and bitter with a really nice juicy pine apple character up front. Also oranges & mango, light maltiness, honey & toast. Some background grassy notes and grapefruit in mid-taste. Dry finish with some honey sweetness & grain lingering, resinous, assertive and lasting grape-bitterness.
