3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A pleasant semi-sweet, yeasty, fruity, slightly spicy blonde ale. Good.
How: From a bottle at Mondial De La Bière 2012
The look: Cloudy yellow-blond body topped by a medium white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is bright with some kind of spiced mandarine cocktail over a bed of flowers, very aromatic stuff here. Taste is like chewing on a mix bag of dried fruits (dried little orange cubes, dried slices of bananas, dried apricots, more…), some coriander-ish and ginger-ish spiciness, honeyed hay, dusty yeast, grassy and floral hops. Strong yeast presence. Yellowed grass in the finish almost dry out the beer. Pleasant big fluffy mouthfeel with a lively carbonation. A bit too sweet for my dryness-seeking palate but I found it nonetheless enjoyable. Got a generous 6oz sample and can easily imagine myself drinking a lot more of this. Another beer I had at Mondial 2012, I was using all my lunch breaks from work every day to go to Mondial and drink beer instead of having lunch, but don’t you dare calling people like me a drunk (us drunks really hate that).

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
@Wijnhandel Wielinga, 058.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught at Mel’s Craft Beers, Vienna.
Deep golden, hazy body, with a big, creamy, stable, lacing, white head.
Aroma of ripe fruits, grass, peach, some berries, bread, sweet malts.
Lovely taste of ripe fruits, peach, lots of citrus, grass, candy, some bread.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, grassy, zesty, fruity.
Tasty. Pretty unique for this style, loads of lovely hops, with an interesting ripe fruit character. The Pils part of the beer just dominates in the finish. Overall one of the best Imperial Pilsners I’ve had.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle brought back from Rome and enjoyed in UK. Pours an attracttive light golden orange colour with a lasting white head. Aroma of citrus and very well hopped, with hints of caramel. Light sweetness, with a good level of hoppy bitterness. Medium body, texture just a little oily. Average carbonation, long bitter finish. Enjoyed this beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear golden colour with a medium frothy white head and good lacings. Aromas of tropical fruit like pineapple and mango dominate, notes of caramel, ripe peach and some spruce develop. Light livelyness fades quickly into a slick texture and a medium-full body. Fruity malt centered sweetness fades quickly into a pronounced tropical fruit induced hop bitterness. Overall well balanced but yet showing some light astringent hit. Lasting finish.
