4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 unclemattie (3348) - Georgia, USA - FEB 20, 2012
375mL bottle. ($7.99 / bottle.) Golden color, a touch of haze. Tall, foamy, white, frothy head. Leaves sexy lace all down the neck of the glass. Aroma of mixed berries. Scent is wine like, resembles a Pinot Gris. Flavor is sweet, fluid grains, light citrus effervescence, soft malts, gentle straw pils malts. Finishes with a straw character with grassy Saaz hops and a citrusy Simcoe presence. Delicate, elegant, and perfect in every way a beer could be. The most well made beer I’ve ever had. So soft and divine. Loads of fruit without fruit being used. Amazing. (3251)

It seems more like an IPA an over-hops beer. Citrus notes are evident but the bitterness is not perturbing taste. Quite drinkable indeed.
4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 20/20 Zarin (156) - ITALY - DEC 29, 2010
Extreme pils, the masterpiece of the brewery. It was made with Dogfish. Taste: Hops, citrus, spices. The body is obviously low. Complex taste, with an amazing long end. Clearly underrated, compared with beeradvocate ratings.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20 Labove (273) - Rome, ITALY - MAR 25, 2011
Buonissima lager iperluppolata ma assolutamente beverina, la migliore assaggiata all’open baladin.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 gemmat5 (20) - Cuneo, ITALY - DEC 22, 2010
Very hoppy aroma, very fruity and citrusy... what a character! Taste is also dominated by hops.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Aldolapache (31) - Roma, ITALY - FEB 11, 2011
Esperimento riuscito. Questa imperial Pils non delude, anzi. Sicuramente all’inizio può spiazzare, ma è una birra piena di sapore, amara(forse eccessivamente) che si va bere nonostante la gradazione alcolica elevata.

750 ML bottle from Pinocchios into a Pilsener glass. Pours a lemon color with a small head that gradually diminishes into a coating. Lacing is thin but lasts throughout. Nose is some citrus and herbal hops, grassy notes and some nuttiness. Taste is lemongrass, citrus, bready malt, and some honey. There is some nice bitterness in the end but sweetness is what you are left with. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, creamy and ample carbonation. You notice the alcohol but it is something that adds rather than detract. This is really refreshing and something I would seek out again.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 suprchunk (1059) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - JUL 22, 2011
This time bottle, last time draft. Pours a hazy dark, amberish straw color. Pretty large white head. And tons of lacing left behind. Citrusy, grapefruit aroma. Some cereal (grapenuts) smell. Sweet and malty nose. Sweet and malty taste as well. Hoppy, but not overly so. A smooth balanced beer. I could drink it daily.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - MAY 27, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 15, 2010 2010-06-05, RBESG 2010, draught at Open Baladin, 8-5-8-5-17=43 Deep blond color; generous head. Delicate and, at the same time, seducing hop aroma. Good toffee flavor, and malt, rich, with just the required sweetness; strong and aromatic hopping, a bit citrusy. The final is strong and long. A very well balanced and aromatic beer, excellent.
2009-03-26, bottle, courtesy of Yespr, 7.5% ABV, 7-4-8-4-16=39 Hazy blond color; medium sized creamy head. The aroma is a bit fruity, resiny, sweet, flowery. Good body strength, toffee and malt flavor, with a very good hopping, sweetish, fruity and resiny, creamy. Really good.

Bottle from SL. Poured a straw golden color with a big pillowy white colored head that just mushroomed a crown that was awesome. The aroma was grains and strong saaz grass hops. The flavor featured strong pilsy malts, grains, strong grassy hops, excellent spicey hops, strongly hopped overall. This paired fantastically with some mildly spicey tacos and guacamole, the alcohol drawn out a bit more probably because of the food. Mouthfeel was well carbonated and full bodied. A very nice DFH brew.
