It seems more like an IPA an over-hops beer. Citrus notes are evident but the bitterness is not perturbing taste. Quite drinkable indeed.

Extreme pils, the masterpiece of the brewery. It was made with Dogfish. Taste: Hops, citrus, spices. The body is obviously low. Complex taste, with an amazing long end. Clearly underrated, compared with beeradvocate ratings.

375mL bottle. ($7.99 / bottle.) Golden color, a touch of haze. Tall, foamy, white, frothy head. Leaves sexy lace all down the neck of the glass. Aroma of mixed berries. Scent is wine like, resembles a Pinot Gris. Flavor is sweet, fluid grains, light citrus effervescence, soft malts, gentle straw pils malts. Finishes with a straw character with grassy Saaz hops and a citrusy Simcoe presence. Delicate, elegant, and perfect in every way a beer could be. The most well made beer I’ve ever had. So soft and divine. Loads of fruit without fruit being used. Amazing. (3251)

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
750ml. bottle, that looks more a brandy or liquor bottle than a beer one.
Hazy golden colour, big head with good retention. Smells of hops, exotic fruits (I think papaya), oranges, spices, floral notes. Medium body, good carbonation.
Taste is very bitter, spicy, maybe pepper, papaya, oranges, herbal notes and simply a hop beast. Dry and bitter finish, this is a great beer.

Bottle at Cookie. Spicy and complex, a treat. Aroma of grain, nuts, butter, vanilla, almonds. Taste is sweet, with light sour and bitter notes, long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Dark yellow, with a big frothy head.

Very hoppy aroma, very fruity and citrusy... what a character! Taste is also dominated by hops.

Buonissima lager iperluppolata ma assolutamente beverina, la migliore assaggiata all’open baladin.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma concentrated at first. Took a minute to open up. Gives way to a nice cereal nose with roasty notes, and subtle raisin. There are definite piney-hop notes as well. The beer pours a hazy amber with a decent amber-hued head. The taste is great. Definite pine coming from the heavy hopping. Also subtle earth and spice notes. Spice is especially apparent on the finish. Nice carbonation with a surprisingly light body and an excellent bitter finish. All in all a world class example of the Imperial Pils style.

Deep blond color; generous head. Delicate and, at the same time, seducing hop aroma. Good toffee flavor, and malt, rich, with just the required sweetness; strong and aromatic hopping, a bit citrusy. The final is strong and long. A very well balanced and aromatic beer, excellent.

Hazy blond color; medium sized creamy head. The aroma is a bit fruity, resiny, sweet, flowery. Good body strength, toffee and malt flavor, with a very good hopping, sweetish, fruity and resiny, creamy. Really good.

750 ML bottle from Pinocchios into a Pilsener glass. Pours a lemon color with a small head that gradually diminishes into a coating. Lacing is thin but lasts throughout. Nose is some citrus and herbal hops, grassy notes and some nuttiness. Taste is lemongrass, citrus, bready malt, and some honey. There is some nice bitterness in the end but sweetness is what you are left with. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium, creamy and ample carbonation. You notice the alcohol but it is something that adds rather than detract. This is really refreshing and something I would seek out again.
