3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Pours a hazy medium gold, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts well and leaves reasonable lacing. Herbal, spice and citrus hops dominate the aroma, with some faint caramel malt in the background. Powerful grapefruit and herbal hops up front lead into a fairly light body of caramel and white bread malt. Spicy hops come through in the finish, and linger into the aftertaste. This is quite a good beer, but like most imperial pilseners it really needs a bit more body to carry its hops flavours.

Mooie oranjegele kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt fruitig, hop, citrus, bloemig en iets caramel. Smaakt lekker bitter en iets zoet, hop, orange en grapefruit. Goede bittere afdronk.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours golden with nice but short-lasting foamy head
Aroma is of pineapple
Taste - you get a clear, crisp and refreshing pilsner in your face and then BOOM the bitterness of the hops kick on the way down.
Light bodied with lively carbonation as you would expect from a pilsner. Bitter taste of the hops lingers around for a little while just to assert their presence!
Alcohol is present but nor overwhelming - well balanced.
I found this beer to be quite innovative as I have never tried anything like this before - I was not sure what to expect. I like pilsners and I like beers on the higher end of the IBU spectrum and this was appealing on both fronts.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours clear gold, extremely hoppy verging on syrupy with a colourful array of lemon, honey and pineapple and a nice tingling bitterness. Taste is robust, with every ounce of it’s 7.9% ABV coming through. Liked this a lot.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Slightly hazy golden colour with just a tint of orange. Thin, but ample, white head with excellent lacing. Strong aromas of pine, passion fruit and honey. Floral, with hints of grass, pepper and spice. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Lightly sweet initial flavours of a buscuity malt with notes of passion fruit and other tropical fruits. Dry finish, with bitter flavours of pine and lemon. Aftertaste is slightly spiced. Excellent beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good beer, floral bouquet, in mouth the start is bitter, but few seconds after, the hop notes are equilibrated with sweet notes and refreshing aftertaste...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a collaboration between Italian brewers Birra del Borgo and Americans Dogfish Head. In Norway the version you get is the Birra del Borgo one, and it is one that I have had a few of. This is a continously hopped pilsner at 7.5% ABV.
It pours clear light amber with a creamy white foam. Aroma has lots of floral hops, with pine and grass. The hop aroma is sharp and a reminder that this beer is continuosly hopped.
The first thing that hits when tasting is the agressive hops, the body is light to medium and despite the hops it is easy to drink. My bottle has slight diacetyl, but it is not much and could be intentional for this style. It has a medium dry finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - BBE date May 2014; Drank Jan 2013 - Clear Orange Gold in colour. Hoppy; floral and perfumed, resiny and spicy (peppery) hops. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Malty; caramel, honey notes. Initially sweet hoppy fruity soon leading to an increasingly bitter finish. Enjoyed this. Nice Impy Pils!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
330ml bottle from Redmonds. Slightly hazy dark gold pour, bright white head, medium lasting. Big fruity, bright nose, grain, biscuit and perfume hops. Huge flavour, sweet and fruit up front, dry and biscuity in the middle, a rising hop bitterness toward the finish. Really amazing. Medium light body, quite fizzy. Finish is long and complex, lovely balance between dry, slightly sweet grainy malt and fruity, bitter hops.
