Lots of ripe apples, ciderlike, sweet malts, acidic, hoppy, citric, resinous, but more like a BW than an IIPA. Sweet and hoppy flavour, lots of barrel aging.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Rome. BBE 09/2014.
Pours dark mahogany color with a medium sized head. Sweet plums and sugar on the nose, caramel malts and wood. Sweet sugary and malty flavor, some syrup too with caramel and sweet ripe fruits. Even though quite sweet, I like this better than My Antonia.

Sample from bottle at Uppsala Beer. Hazy dark golden with white head. Aroma boozy, vinous barrel, some sweet malt, woody resin, light caramel and grapefruit. Taste is complex and intense, vinous, barrel, alcohol, caramel, grapefruit with a tingly bitterness in the finish. Really nice!

9/I/15 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: VIII/2015 (2015-27) Thanks to Sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark orange beer, big creamy off-white head, little stable, adhesive. Aroma: apples indeed! Calvados, apple sauce, fruity, little oxidized, some sherry notes. MF: ok but lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, apple juice, calvados, yet not too boozy at all, apple sauce, little spicy. Aftertaste: calvados, apple juice, some tannins, little bitter.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 08/2015. Grazie a te Matteo!

Bottle from Plonk (April 2014). Dark orange/copper, small tan head, orange peel, baked apple, wood, burnt caramel, alcohol, piney bitterness, thick, syrupy texture, long bitter, boozy finish. Nice.
