Hazy mahogany colour with no head.
Sweet fruity and berries, strong sweet maltiness and caramel in the aroma.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
21st April 2013
Very hazy deep amber beer, big cream coloured head. A little fresh apple and a whisper of bubblegum on the nose. Palate is softish and airy with very light carbonation. A little creamy malt for a base. A nice fresh apple vibe, touch of wood and salt. Integrates well with the creamy malt. Nice barrel aged beer but the base beer seems utterly subsumed. Decent though!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Was a bit sceptical to this beer, calvados barrelling an iipa? Luckily there was no reason to fear this being a bad beer. The hazy copper colored body is covered by a fast disappearing low beige head, uncovering a sweet fruity, like a warmm fresh fruitpie, aroma of baked apples, fresh orange, blackcurrant, clove and honey. Sweet! Taste has a heavy malt base, aplles, citrus and peach, pepper, light alcohol taste, and a sweet palate Not exactly the bitterness of an iipa, but who cares about style, the soft bitterness suits this beer. Finsh is hoppy with a light sweet alcohol touch. A nice and different beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
33cl bottle. Dark amber color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, much caramel, herbs, calvados aroma, resin, fruits and toast. Nicely balanced body, the high ABV is very well hidden. Excellent, tasty and very unique brew.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Brewdog Edinburgh. Muddy dark amber and no head. Good bubbles though. Nose is pure apple delight. Faultless. Fresh and light. No clue to the taste which is a robust proposition. Big boozy apples, sweetness tempered by a little tartness at first but then a sweeter and boozy finish. Classy. Not really an IPA tho!
