Bottle at James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a clear golden tinged brown with a thin white head. A bit of old wood, cheesy funk. Lightly tart and sour, a bit of funkiness and old chocolate.

Bottle 330ml.

Clear medium to dark red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy red wine, grape, wood, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, red wine, alcohol. Very nice balanced ;O). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20121217]

Bottle. Pours hazy, dark brown with a small, tan head. Tart aroma with citrus, wood, dark fruit and earthy notes. Nicely tart aroma with notes of citrus, dark fruits, wood and earth. Similar finish with some added malt and booze notes.

The almost 12 ounce bottle. I was intrigued by the moderate price. Murky brown pour. Sour. Toffee. Some cherry. A bit of that murky taste. Not bad. I think my expectations were higher.

Bottle shared at Ma Che, Roma, 09/02/13, thanks to Manuele. Hazed dark chestnut brown with a good sized frothy off white head. Nose carries soured dark fruit notes, light yeast, spice, toffee. Taste follows with a warming alcohol taste. Medium bodied (full end of) with moderate carbonation leading to a dry finish. Decent.

09/02/2013 330ml bottle shared by Manuele Colonna @ Ma che siete venuti a fà. Bruna intensa, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma modesta, beige, mediamente persistente. Al naso frutti rossi, spezie, vaniglia, scorza d’arancia, zucchero di canna. In bocca è complessa, si percepiscono note dolciastre di malto e acidule di frutta rossa e vino. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Niente male davvero!

Bottle. Surprised I’m the first to have this. Dark brown pour with a short tan head. Aroma is very wine like with tart fruit notes, grape skins, wet wood, earthy notes and funky yeast. Taste is sour fruit, funky yeast, earthy notes, wet wood, booze, wine, grape skins, dark fruit notes and soft malt. Body is medium with a soft, bubbly carbonation, acidic tartness, moderate warmth and a dry finish. Ends with more sour fruit, funky yeast, wine, grapes, dark fruit, damp earthiness, wet wood and malt notes.
