Damn Colin, how many bottles did you bring to this thing?! The pour’s deep orange amber with red highlights. Nose of red berry jam, herbal hops, countryside. The taste is juniper, prunes, mild tartness. Hints of tropical pineapple. Light body, fine carbonation. Pretty solid, refreshing stuff.

Bottle at Jack & Leighton’s Birthday Celebration, thanks to Colin. It pours hazy pink-red with a small white head. The nose is earth, spice, red fruit, berry, pepper and lightly acidic. The taste is tart red berry, sweet-sour aspect, cherry, rosehip, juniper, pepper, sherbet and light acidity with a dry, tart finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. An interesting beverage for sure. Pretty tasty.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 teorn88 (1198) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 14, 2013
75cl bottle shared by Colin at CBC, Clerkenwell. It pours a slightly hazy deep ruby/amber color with a small pinkish head. Aroma is fruity with loads of tart cherry notes and some citrus. Taste is well balanced, gently sweet and acidic with notes of cherries and light dust and citrus. Medium mouthfeel and well carbonated. Very good and certainly better than the Rubus.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Davros (1477) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 12, 2013
Pours ruby-tinged amber with a quickly fading head.
Nose shows cherry, brett, soft light malt and lemon.
There’s a bit of the cherry as a flavour too but it’s pretty restrained. Some acidity makes things refreshing before some light malt, brett and a soft bitterness roll through.
Carbonation is suitably high, while the body is light, working perfectly.

From tap, 100ml at Bir&Fud. Red-amber body, low pink coloured body. Aroma of sweet fruits. Tart and sweet flavour of cherries. Dry ending. Very much on the sweet side. Ok, far from being a favourite drink, though (Roma, 30.03.2012).
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 KyotoLefty (4725) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 15, 2012
Draught at Bir & Fud. Clear reddish-bronze with a nice, low head. Light cherry nose, minerals, salts, and some acid, much like a pickled Japanese plum (umeboshi). Tasty—tang flavor, lightly acetic, with plums, cherry, salt. Crisp and clean, and very interesting. Again, like an umeboshi. The nose is a bit too faint, but overall excellent.

30th October 2011 On tap at Bir & Fud. Slightly hazy amber red brown beer, tidy pale pink head. Light palate, soft edges. Nice light cherries, not super sweet or super sour like so many cherry beers. Just nice cherry! Neutral finish. Very drinkable.
