75cl bottle shared by Colin at CBC, Clerkenwell. It pours a slightly hazy deep ruby/amber color with a small pinkish head. Aroma is fruity with loads of tart cherry notes and some citrus. Taste is well balanced, gently sweet and acidic with notes of cherries and light dust and citrus. Medium mouthfeel and well carbonated. Very good and certainly better than the Rubus.

Lukaduke (2853) - Gray, Maine, USA - SEP 4, 2014
Pours a rosey copper color with a finger of fizzy foam that settles out quickly. Nice soft rustic beer with a dusty field grain backbone that is enhanced by tart cherry skin, wet earth stem and pits, lingering vinous acidity and elegant balance between fruit and grain. Crushable and unique.

Bottle sample at Iron Gate. Clear bright amber red color, white head with delicate lacing. Aroma of very dusty attic corners, cherries, dates. Taste is sweet and sour cherry with light tannin and light citrus. Very tasty.

Pours ruby-tinged amber with a quickly fading head. Nose shows cherry, brett, soft light malt and lemon. There’s a bit of the cherry as a flavour too but it’s pretty restrained. Some acidity makes things refreshing before some light malt, brett and a soft bitterness roll through. Carbonation is suitably high, while the body is light, working perfectly.

tomer (2523) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAR 5, 2014
Draught, small stable pinkish creamy head, clear beautifull deep red colour, aroma of plums, cherries, and leather with a woody hint, flavour of plums, cherries and olives, light mellow fruity sourness, light bodied, long light sour olive aftertaste. Sinfully drinkable.

This Italian Kriek is a great blend of sweetness without much of the sour tones of its Belgian counterparts. With little aroma but a rich full bodied appearance. It tastes sweet on the tongue and doesn’t linger for long. Great pairing with spicy foods.

Currants, subtle oak and cheese underneath. Clear maroon, medium pink head. Currant, sour cherries at midpalate, plum finish. Cask-like carbonation, light body, pleasantly tart. Expensive, but I don’t exactly feel cheated either.

Handpump at Lambic Zoon, Milan
Hazy red-amber color with frothy head. Delicate fruity/cherry aroma. Dry but soft mouthfeel, lowly carbonated; delicate flavor with nice fruity touch; low bitterness; mild astringency in the final.
Elegant beer; the handpump reduces the carbonation and boosts the flavors; excellent.

nimbleprop (6659) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 27, 2016
Bottle at Centrolina DC pours a clear amber with some creamy, white head. Nose has some dried cherry, some cherry juice too, a little raisin, a little funk, some malt. Flavor follows, light malt, a little brown sugar, raisins, cherries, prunes, light vinegar. Dry finish. Another well done.

24/01/2013 Buskers Pub (tap). Bevuta al Birra del Borgo Takeover. Limpida, color Campari, schiuma bianca sottile e poco persistente.
