A good Belgian, malty and yeasty aroma and taste. Good mouthfeel, bolstered by caramel and toffee, its easy drinking.Golden body without that much head. Hmm, sugar, A bit sweeter than your average Belgium, there is still hops in here.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A little bit hoppier than the normal ReAle. There´s nothing wrong with that at all. A great beer from Birra del Borgo again (25.5.2009).

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750mL brought back from Roma by my dad. Small gusher, as expected through. Thus, this of course makes a beautiful large head atop a dark golden, almost orange body, which is thick and does not allow much clarity. The lacing left behind is extremely thick as well, like white bubbly slugs on the side of the glass. Aroma is hoppy, lightly stale, lightly dank, and in the novice kind of way, which I often find in European brews trying their darnedest to make an American-esque hoppy brew. This covers up the yeastie dough of a Belgian yeast. Taste mellows out with less aggressive and not so badly done hops. More of the yeastie and lightly seltzer mineral flavor. Easy drinking, its nice that they try so hard.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice amber color, hazy, with a very big head. It has a delicate fruity aroma, mango overall, with some oranges; positive point, it’s very persistent. Medium body strength, with a good toffee and caramel flavor, drier in the front and smoother and sweeter in the middle; it has a good bitterness level, and a fair fruity character. Light, refreshing, well balanced, well constructed and extremely enjoyable.

375ml Bottle (Gusher!): Aroma of hops, caramel malts, lychee, slight grapefruit, and citrus. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, dense, cream, off-white/slight beige head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Many small particles. Good lacing. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Tastes of hops, lychee, caramel malts, light fruit, and some sugar. Light to medium body. Thinish, lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hop and lychee finish is lightly dry.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà, Rome. Bright orange color. Straightforward here, and good. Lots of hop aroma. Flavor has some yeast, and a little sweet malt, but primarily fresh, full flavored hops. There is citrus, grass, and some pine. This is the best new IPA I have had in some time.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12.7 oz bottle. Clearish pink amber with a lacy white head. Quite a unique aroma; grapefruit souffle, marshmallow, violets and lemon zest. Tingly, sparkly, resiny, hint of syrup. Taste is pink grapefruit and candied lemon peel. I think Max’s had it right, an IPA-Saison. Pretty good.
