Cask at Ma che siete venuti a fà, Rome.
Wow! Cascade, Amarillo, Tomahawk and Columbus are the holy quadrinity of hops used in this gorgeous amber brew which makes for a total American lupulin-fest on the tongue. The nose is like nothing else I’ve ever smelt before; citrus, rose petals, pine, resins, peachy fruit and simply gorgeously inviting. The flavour starts off with a huge blast of bitterness yet this recedes and allows the complexity and character through with sweet maltiness balancing pine needles, citrus, more Turkish delight-like tastes and a whole range of fruity, leafy and lemony hoppiness. The finish is the work of a true craftsman with the substantial bitterness being held in perfect balance by the juicy maltiness and incredible hop character with all the previous tastes coming through - pine, rose, citrus, even some tobacco and lime zest!
Anyone can brew a beer with these four hops and make it "extreme", but it takes a lot of skill to make such a beer as excellently balanced as this is; Leonardo the brewer is an artist in beer.

Nov 28, 2009 Taster at The mondial de la biere 09 in Montreal. The color is amber with a thin beige head. The aroma is of hops and fruits. The taste is also of hops ++ and sweet fruits and honey. The dryness is very pleasant in the mouth and a good after taste.

Nov 19, 2009 On tap @ Coles Buffalo NY. Pours a medium golden orange. Floral, soap, pot pourri fills the aroma. Taste is floral soapy, perfumy, lavender, medium bitterness. Nice fuller mouthfeel. Decent but too floral.

Nov 18, 2009 ( 750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours very cloudy orange with nice head. Nose of honey and cinnamon. Taste is very sweet, spices, finishes creamy with nice carbonation. This was one smooth IPA.

Nov 17, 2009 ( 750ml bottle ) Pours a clear yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of pineapple, nuts, caramel, mango, and light pine and herbal notes. Flavor of hops (grass, pine, herbal), nuts, and caramel with a bitter finish.

Nov 11, 2009 Pours a an amber body with an off white head. Floral faint citrus hops, honey, a touch of bread and wild spices. Floral hibiscus, funky leather tones. Hint of lemon. A Nice offering.

Oct 31, 2009 (Bottled, 0.75l) Clear red-copper with a very large, foamy, lasting and lacy head (burst out of bottle). Aromatic-pine-hoppy nose with exotic fruit and toffeeish malt. Flavor of toffeeish malt, aromatic piney hops, lots of fruit, dry and bitter finish. Medium body with slightly foamy, soft carbonation. Nicely hoppy, nicely balanced, reasonably low ABV. I like!

Oct 30, 2009 Bottle at Bière Mondial 2009, Strasbourg. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Strong hoppy smells. Sweet with some dryness. Hints of residual sugars. Soft carbonation. Full bodied. Crispy dry finish with more hints of residual sugars. A very well balanced beer.

Oct 26, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. The look is orange in color, clear, with an off white head. The smell is musty, paper, fruits, and hops. The taset is bitterness, fruits, and hops.
