APA si, ma con una bella botta alcolica e un amaro secco, senza dolcione. Buona e sempre al top.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (4094) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 1, 2011
Bottle in Domus Birrae, Rome. Pours a dark, cloudy golden-brown with a white, foam head. Full hop aroma, though subtly subdued in a way, with notes of earth, grass and pine. Has a light to medium sweet flavor, mild honey and caramel, medium to strong bitterness, sticky and resinous, freshly cut grass, dank hay, some citrus rind. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Warm, warm finish, sticky hops, more grass and resin, background malts. Good stuff.

Pours an amber brown color with a soapy white head. Aroma of heavy grapefruit, cider, hops, and earthiness. Light sweet cider taste with a super sweet bitter after taste. Thin and too sweet. Not well balanced.
3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 eczematic (1297) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 13, 2011
Purchased at extortionate cost at birraria la corte, venezia, alongside some pretty good cinghiale salame pizza. smells great, very strong and fruity cascade aroma, lots of malt and stonefruity esters too. Warm malty base, quite thick and nutty, and very fruity piney and perfumy saturation of myrcene and cohumulone. Certainly plenty of flavour but a bit all over the place in the palate, a bit messy. Like a fairly good homebrew ipa.

Bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange color with a frothy off white head. Aroma is almost like an IPA, lost of grapefruit, sweeter citrus fruits like orange and tangerine along with some malt sweetness to back it up. The flavor is of the grapefruit, sweeter citrus fruits, orange, tangerine, sweet and caramel malts along with some breadiness, overall a more sweet than bitter APA. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall a pretty nice APA, looking forward to be trying the Re Ale Extra.

After the tasting in which we had Re Ale Extra, we just had to try this one and Benito opened it up. As he warned us, this one was a bit less hoppy then the Extra version. Still it’s a good beer though. Personaly i like the Extra a bit better.

750ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a fairly large and lasting creamy white head. Phenomenal lacing. The aroma is rather hoppy and floral with some sweet malt and spiced notes. The flavor is rather spicy - I’m getting considerable nutmeg from this one - with a caramel malt base and floral hoppiness to it. Medium-plus bodied with softer carbonation. A bit heavy on the mouthfeel for a pale ale. Pretty good stuff overall, especially for Italy, but I thought I had a top 10 in Italy tick in Re Ale Extra, and it was a bit of a letdown to realize it was just this one.
