COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A brand-new beer from a brand-new, very promising head-brewer. India Pale Ale following the American Pale Ale style with a fruity aroma (grapefruit), with peppery notes (East Kent Goldings), a rich taste of malts (Maris Otter and Crystal), with a very long bitter and citrus finish typical of Cascade hops.

Bottle. Dark reddish amber with a small, frothy, mostly lasting white to off-white head. Aroma is malt, citrus, grapefruit, caramel, grass, yeast. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter, yeasty, malty, caramel, light herbal with fruity hints. Long lasting salty bitter finish. Nice balance.

Fin, men ganske mild bitterhet i ettersmaken. Medium konsistens på denne.

Draught at Against The Grain. Clear pale amber tinted gold, decent foamy white head, lasting. Nose has a lovely floral note, perfume, pineapple and tropical fruits. Gorgeous. Aroma flows into the flavour, fruity, edible flower flavours, toasted malts. Big robust body, soft carbonation. Finish is long, malty and fruity. Really good.

33cl bottle. Copper with big fluffy white head. Nice bright pineapple and grapefruit on the nose, some sweet caramel, and earthy peppery notes. Taste gives great sweet fruits: pineapple and orange. Crunchy caramel and biscuit malt in there. Residual pepper, herbs, sweet bready malts and grapefruit. On the sweeter side of APAs, but really good. Impressive use of EKG, lovely stuff.

Bottle: Served in a shaker glass: Medium sized creamy off white foamy head on top of a hazy orange amber colored beer. Lovely aroma of hops, hop fruits, some grapefruit, cotrus, pine, resin, some malts, chalk, yeast, crispy floral tones and some herbs. Flavours of hops, hop bitters, hop fruits, grapefruit, pine, some resin, some citrus, some apricot, spices, floral tones, malts, wood, some chalk, bitters, some yeast, some herbs, hint of sugars (quickly dealt with-bye), some grass and leaves. Aftertaste is a mix of hops, hop fruits, malts, yeast, bitters and floral tones. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture. Balanced, bitter, hoppy, lovely!

750ml bottle.
Pours a hazy amber with a finger of fine white head.
Nose is classic American pale ale. Lots of grapefruit backed by some orange and lemon notes, a bit of caramel sweetness and a bit of pepper from the EKG.
Once again, a classic APA on the palate. Some caramel sweetness and some orange and grapefruit flavours, followed by a measured grapefruit bitterness with just a hint of pine.
Body is medium and the carbonation was just what I want from an APA. Not too fizzy, but enough so that it doesn’t taste flat.
Those Italians really know what they’re doing. Nothing mind blowing, but a really excellent example of the style from somebody geographically a million miles away.

From 640 ml bottle. Pours a clear red-amber with a one-finger off-white head that laces well. Fine carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pine needles, flowers, light caramel and a touch of pepper. The taste starts out with some biscuity malt but that quickly gives way to a firm lemon zest bitterness with pine overtones. Slips away to a slightly sweet finish with a really nice peppery aftertaste. Like it a lot.

Amber body, clean and small head. Simple aroma, foresty hops yet dimmed, dusty. Light caramel malts. Not terribly interesting. Light bitterness. Disappointing. (33cl bottle from Eataly Torino)
