Bottle. Black beer with a fairly strong fizzy evaporating head. The aroma is gently bitter, and the flavour is fairly bitter with a sour malty finish. Overall a very drinkable dark and mildly bitter beer.

Bottle 750ml. @ home.
Clear dark dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, burnt, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100325]

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2011 750ml bottle (Bir&Fud, Rome) - said 8% on the label. (7:5:8:5:14=3.9)
Big chocolate orange aroma. Really rich roasty body. Great roasty taste too. Carbonation pleasant, and a lovely smoothness to the palate. Finish has some green hops too. Delicious porter, no matter what strength it is.
Rerate: 750ml bottle (ChrisO’s pre-GBBF2011 "Donkey Dork Lord" shindig) (7:4:7:4:14=3.6)
Full body, good roast. Tangy and almost spicy. Maybe the bottle had been opened too long and poured too many times, it didn’t have the cleanness and freshiness of the newly-opened bottle from B&F.

Colore maron piuttosto scuro, poca schiuma molto rapida ad andarsene, aroma bello caffettoso, porter robusta e rotonda non stucchevole, decisamente una signora birra. Complimenti
