375 from Beer Revolution. Pours orange amber with a very transient set of bubbles. Aroma is raspberry with perhaps a sour undernote. Not quite med body. Flavor is mildly sour raspberry. Tart for sure. Refreshing.

On tap and dispensed to a footed glass as an 11 oz. serving at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL.. Displayed a hazed, rosey color, with fizzy, bubbly, white foam that diminished quickly to a ring & film, and left some minimal spots of lacing on the glass. The nose was expressive, raspberry syrup, maybe a touch of concord grape, and a hint of earthy/woodiness. The flavor continued with some sweetness, lively carbonation, cidery tartness, and finishing dryness. Not a lot of body, but effervescent and tasty.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a large white head. Slightly sour raspberry aroma with some light herbal notes. Flavors of tart raspberries, light caramel malt and earthiness. Slightly under carbonated but very good for a fruit beer.

75cl bottle. Little gusher. Pours a deep orange/pink color with a minimal off-white head. Quickly vanishing foam. Aroma is raspberries, period. And not even good ones: syrupy medicinal aroma. Quite bad, frankly. Almost repulsive for how intense it is. Taste is weak and nothing shines really. Light tartness, some bitterness and a soft fruity presence. Raspbeeries, but underattenuated. Actually, weak but way better than the nose. Dry acidic finish. Body is thin with soft carbonation. Overall, if the nose was more "natural" this could even be a decent brew, and probably a good one to go with appetizers.

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Clear amber beer, short lived white head. Light palate, a little crisp and a little dry. Pleasantly tart fruity beer. Lemon slightly dominates. Crisp tart finish. Highly drinkable sourish fruit beer. Nice!

A few years old. Orange unclear body; almost no head. Raspberry aroma. Flavor on the dry side, a little prickly; raspberries. I like it, but I think I sat on this one a little too long.

The appearance is a bit more amber in color than the Duchessic, and pours with very little head as well. The aroma is of raspberries, and while the smell is pretty strong, the taste is not overwhelming at all. Well balanced between the sweet and sour with the taste of raspberries lingering through out. Nothing too crazy here in terms of overpowering flavors/tastes, but sometimes that understatement can still make for a very good beer as it does with the Rubus.

11-NOV-2011, draft @"Bir & Fud". Golden with low white head. Nose is raspberries. Taste is much the same. Mostyly raspberries. A little maltiness as well. A bit tart. Fruity and nice but simple.
