Draught at The Black Sheep. Cloudy yellow gold, nice bright white head, lasts and nice lacing. Bubble gum, tropical fruits in the aroma.Flavour follows the nose, sweet passion fruit, grapefruit bitterness and a slightly sour, wheat tang. Some herby notes too. Light body, fizzy, really drinkable and refreshing.

Bottle out on the balcony. Hazy Golden with a White head. Fresh hoppy burst on the nose. Citrus. The flavour is Grapefruit and a touch of pine leading to a piney resinous finish. Very tasty particularly for the ABV

Bottle. Hazy golden color with low white head. Aroma has a fruity character, mango with pineapple. Little bit funky in the background. Taste has earthy bitterness, long lasting. Malty sweetness. Body has high soft carbonation with medium, light oily body.

Draft @ ML Fontainas, Italian Fest Sept ’14. Stars and Stripes.

(5.5 % ABV – this is an IPA as far as I can tell). Thanks! Sampled draft @ Italian Beer Week-end / Zwanze 2014 CML. Golden, creamy white head. Light cheesy fresh hops in the nose, creamy hay, citrus. Taste is cheese fresh hops, sugar, tad candy, malt, bread, citrus, light floral; Creamy body. Pretty nice beer.

Draught. The beer was given at the Italian Beer Weekend @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, and announced as 5.5% ABV. In that case, this is an APA or IPA, in the ABV as above, this would be a Session IPA Huge, ultrafine & dense, lightly yellowish head over faintly veiled orange-golden beer. C hops and old sports shoes (sorry, but that clinches it exactly). Fruity, citruszeste, resin, bit of pine. Bit of human sweat, slight malty sweetness, citrus acidity and lots of hops (more than expected from a blond ale - nearly APA). Dry spicy seeds (fenegreek?). Quite slick, bit oily even (again pointing at the hops). Feels better carbonated than it looks. Quite good, but blind I wouldn’t call it a golden ale. And it is not what the name hints at, neither.

Bottle from Mother Kelly’s. A fruity hop aroma, some sticky mango and roast pineapple as it warms up in the glass. A little thin on the mouthfeel but pleasant enough and matched well with a spicy pizza and the F1 from Monza.

Bottle at Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green on 30 August. Poured a hazy golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of orange blossom, sweets and hay. Grainy flavour, with sweet mango and pineapple. Finish was tinned fruit, peaches and a slightly metallic note.

My Bottom Line:
White grapefruit and floral undertones surf this brew’s soft, plump mouthfeel, leading to resinous bitterness and much drinkability.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sliver of foam sits atop the hazy blond.
-The flavour profile is hop dominant.
-Aroma could be more refined.
-This is very close to being what the Americans call a Session IPA nowadays. Put it on cask and it becomes an English Golden Ale though. ;)
