3.5%. Golden Ale Tapped out a cloudy light amber color, 10şSRM. Nose is predictably full of floral character, but I’d like to focus on a subtle funkiness that was frankly a little surprising and what you’d expect from a farm ale. That slight milkiness that one associates with lactic acid or lactose. Obviously there are lemon-like, citrus flavors...of course. Grapefruit. Ponderous, soapy mouthfeel. Carbonated. Well malted, again there’s that slight mildewed funkiness. Almost like wet cement and a little reminiscent of the of the palate on a Delirium Tremens. There is a salty, slightly savory flavor that disappears on the back end into some nice hop-balance. Finish is hoppy and brief. Two dimensional almost. The aftertaste is like Honey Smacks with orhids thrown in for good measure. A very funky ride. Different and good for the soul.

Era da un bel pezzo che non bevevo nulla del birrificio di Rieti, e devo dire che questa stars and stripes, mi č garbata parecchio, da bere ad ettolitri...

On tap @Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Aroma of citrus, fresh grass. Nice bitterness, quite complex for such a low abv, refreshing.

Really cloudy golden amber body and stable head. Lively aroma, spring time in a glass. Saison yeast, fresh hops, light zesty and citrus aroma, great, great malt base. Wow! Funky, bitter, characterful fermentation, almost Brett like. Orval meets American Pale Ale meets Italian balance. I’m utterly impressed! (Beautiful little bottle, from Saveur Bičre)

330ml bottle [5.5& abv as per label]. Cloudy, golden colour with huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Intense, citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of tangerine, orange, orange zest, a spicy touch of hay, some limoncello. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, citrusy hoppy, notes of mandarine, orange, hints of orange zest, mandarine kernel, some orange biscuit. A study in orange subtleties.
