3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
My Bottom Line:
Lemongrass and various citrus fruit gleefully scent this juicy, tart and dry summer quencher. An eclectic number which does not recall any sort of tea most people have ever had.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slim film of foam covers the light yellow.
-Our program said this was brewed by Chinese black tea, not green tea...
-The spicy citrus component is dominant and combined with the nearly anemic body makes this extremely easy to down.
-A light weizen yeast character roams in the background.
-A drop of milk in your tea, sir? Uh, sure.
Bottle; best before April 2009.

Tap at OTH.
Interesting concept that the one of using 50% tea leaves with 50% hops. Italian beer landscape is quickly becoming very interesting and tasty.
Pours hazy amber/orange with white head.
Aroma is lightly hoppy, plenty of herbal freshness and some faint sweet notes.
Taste, hoppy, there is a definite light leafy presence. Though weak in alcohol, the mouthfeel is very smooth with a light sour finish of peach*apricot with a bitter mix of citrus fruits.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large fizzy white head and a chill hazed yellow body. GOod lacing. Aroma is strong with tea, honey and some jam. Taste is watery with tea and some light fruits. Smooth mouthfeel, light bubbles.

(Rating #1369)

Bottle in bologna.
I guess you have to try everything once?
Some tea here, perhaps, but not in any way a balanced beer. A sort of weiss would be the closest realtive, there is some citrus here.
If they crack the code, they could make light green tea weissens and imperial tea breafast stouts. Or cream tea ales.....

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Opaque, but very, very pale yellow. Tiny white head. Very well extracted tea flavour immediately escapes the bottle once it’s opened. Fresh, herbal., leafy… even more pronounced in mouth. Zesty, lemony, fresh acidity. Sweetness kept under control. Excellent small-bubbled carbonation constantly regenerates the tastebuds. Marvellous acidity all throughout. Refreshing wheat profile. Very light, but still excellent beer.

In short: A nice refreshing Hefe-weizen-ish beer
How: Post Montreal’s Flaveurs, Bières and Caprice Festival 2007 tasting. Bottle taken out by Rastacouere/Cathschlag.
The look: Cloudy blonde-yellow body with a small white head
In long: Hay, lemon, freshly cut grass, light bananas and citrus fruits. Rather yeasty. Tart and surprisingly dry for that type of fruity hefe-ish beer. Smooth and fluffy body. I tried but I didn’t find any of the tea flavours that were supposed to be the main attractions. It’s either extremely well integrated or in very small quantity. Could also be that this is a type of tea I’m not familiar with since I try to stay away from non-alcoholic beverages outside mandatory bodily requirements.
