Born from the Italian beer brewing tradition, BAFFO D’ORO is a premium, pure malt beer. It is produced using only selected varieties of malted barley and contains no other cereals. The result is a beer with an alcoholic content of 4.8% volume and is characterized by its lively golden colour, to which it owes its name. BAFFO D’ORO with its deep malted flavour fits perfectly with a variety of Italian meals, from pasta to roast meat to pizza.

So had some free time during tour of Rome so walked as fast as possible to Bir & Fud only to find them closed (i’m an idiot who should have searched hours first) and just went to a pizza place and while delicious not good beer list. Grabbed this pale lager which pours yellow with white foamy head. tastes of grains, some hops bitterness, metal, hay. and grass. not terrible

33 cl. bottle at pizzeria. Clear, golden colour with a medium sized, white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts and light grass hops. Taste is light sweet. Light to medium body, lively carbonated. Finishes sweet with a little bit of grass hops at the end. Nothing extraordinary, but fulfilled the task: A beverage to my pizza.

Are there people in the world who look malty sweet beers? I guess so since they are made everywhere. This could be worse, but the malty sweetness is just too much. 33cl bottle from a Billa supermarket.

330ml bottle with gnocchi at some pizzeria, 15.05.13. Light golden body , tiny head and no lacing. Fresh, some citrus, grain snd grass. Refreshing after a long plane ride , but rather thin and not standing out in any way. Okay and drinkable.

Hoppy taste. Bitter palate with some malty nute. Long bitter-sweet finish. White foam, disappearing fast. Very light, yellow-like colour.

08.05.2013. 0,66l Bottle. Pan Panorama, Pisa, Italy. Yellow colour with white head. Malty aroma. Soft beer with medium body. Low bitterness gives a rather tasteless and straight forward beer. Weak bitterness at the end.

the only difference I’ve found with the original one is the price. And for worse.

Equilibrated sweetness and bitterness, malty flavour. Not so flavoured at finish, wich results a bit watered. A floral flavour background is present, appreciated.
