COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Born from the Italian beer brewing tradition, BAFFO D’ORO is a premium, pure malt beer. It is produced using only selected varieties of malted barley and contains no other cereals. The result is a beer with an alcoholic content of 4.8% volume and is characterized by its lively golden colour, to which it owes its name. BAFFO D’ORO with its deep malted flavour fits perfectly with a variety of Italian meals, from pasta to roast meat to pizza.

<2months after bbf> Has a lot more going for it than the regular Moretti. Exploding head and a relativly powerfull aroma of almonds and malts. Flavor is nice and clean, with a decent amound of hob bitterness. Has a touch of american pine hobs. Very nice for the style.

In Positano. Bottle from corner market. Decent. Smooth and a bit sweet. Some basic malt flavors. Decent for a bunch of people sitting around a drinking with no real discerning taste. Not really excellent wow beer, but a solid everybody will like it type of drink. It doesn’t have that piss-poor macro taste though.

[Beer Cleaning day at Rugmarken.] Although Jacob almost swallowed it all immediately I found it sticky, metallic and too maltsweet for my liking.

Decent malty Italian lager. Nothing sensational here but you can tell they’re using quality malts. Pale gold, decent 1.5cm shaving foam head. Some lace. Slightly skunked - hurray for green bottles - but also showing grassy hops, bready malts and a slight sourness. Sweet and malty at the front of the mouth. Very bready - you can taste the quality. Quite substantial in the mouth but a tad overcarbonated. Reasonable bitter bite in the finish. Probably the best lager I’ve come across in a while, but then I am Australian. (33cl bottle, Amatos, bb 10/06)

Golden coloured beer, good sized head, bit should hold a bit longer. Hops, malts and spices, typical pilsener smell for me, bit im not a fan of the style anyway. Watery, a bit sweetness, not bad, but not my kind of beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Rotem’s place. Thanks Rotem’s dad. Pours very pale, very clear golden, white foamy head. Generic pale lager aroma, corny, sweet, watery taste. Light body, smooth carbonation, short finish.
