Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

Butelka, warka do 03-2016. Ladna jasna piana, dosc szybko opadajaca, troche zostajaca na szkle. Kolor piwa bardzo gleboki, ciemny bursztyn, wpadajacy w brazowo-karminowe odcienie, przejrzyste. Zapach to glownie karmel, slody, troche chleba - generalnie taki kierunek. Mocno to wszystko stonowane, delikatne, niezbyt intensywne.

Surprisingly OK. Deep amber with an off-white head. Mostly grain aromas, some caramel and burnt malt in there, too. Taste is malty with bit of dried apricot and raisin, rather sweet.

Bottle. Mainly baked bread in aroma with hint of caramel and diacetyl. Amber color, transparent. Small foam with weak lacing. Low carbonation. Baked bread taste with caramel, slightly sour. Nice warming alcohol in throat, but not recognizable in taste. Medium sweet. Average bitterness with caramel palate. Quite nice bock.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Napoli Pizzeria. Aroma: light floral hop. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white initial head with fair lacing and mostly diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-orange body. Taste: lightly sweet initial flavor and moderately sweet finish with average duration. Palate: light-to-medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: too sweet.

Poured from 11.2 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams lager glass. Appearance: Thick, creamy, long-lasting head. Rich, clear amber color with no particles apparent. Moderate to significant lacing. Each swallow stirs up a noticeable amount of carbonation/bubbles in the glass. Aroma: Sweet and malty Mouthfeel: Medium body and moderate carbonation Taste: Fairly sweet, bready, malty hints of caramel. Lingering hoppy bitterness on the back of the tongue after swallowing. Overall, pretty tasty. I’d gladly have another!
