COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Birra Moretti La Rossa is a double bock beer produced using high quality 100% malted barley, giving it a rich sweet taste and an intense fragrance of roasted malt. The amber colour that characterizes the beer, comes from kind of malt used in the recipe (malt is dried, roasted barley). Another key ingredients is hops, the variety used is particularly aromatic, giving a characteristic bitter aftertaste and a delicate fragrance to the beer. The Master Brewers advise a service temperature between 10° and 12° C.

on tap @ pizza no limits, Cassano magnago. Schiuma beige, abbastanza fine, poco persistente. birra di colore ramato. limpida, quasi cristallina. Profumo debole, maltato, un poco di miele , luppolatura standard industriale, lieve nota alcolica. poco complesso. Gusto poco intenso dolce abboccato, abbastanza acido, poco amaro. Decisamente metallico. non avverto note fruttate. rotonda, poco calda, non sembra una doppelbock. abbastanza equilibrata, abb. armonica.

Salmoniform (454) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - DEC 15, 2013
Poured from bottle to glass. Dark amber with off-white head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is a bit sharp due to high carbonation with essesnce of malt, roast, yeast, esthers, very floral. Medium light body and carbonation provide a great mouthfeel without being watery or heavy. Taste is initially sweet followed by a CO2 sharpness and slightly bitter finish. This is quite malt forward, as a bock should be. Yeast influence gives it an almost Trappist/Belgian quality. Overall, this is an ok beer but a bit all over the place. If it were more cohesive, this would be a fantastic blend of German & Belgian...but it unfortunately comes accross disjointed which distracts from its potential.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2014 This was a positive surprise, I expected something less good! Nice colour, brown with red shine, and beige medium head. Smell is malty, and the taste is nice, malt, and fruity, cherry sure, than toffee too. Nice.

Good Job, ragazzi

Light amber brown pour with small beige head. Carbonation like a Cola. Malty smell with sweets. Bit of caramel. Medium sweet malt flavor and mildly bitter. Sweet lingers a bit. Okay bodied with high carbonation. Not really special.

Bottle. Amber pour with off white head. Smells of toffee, caramel, slight hops and slight fruit. Taste follows. Went very good with pizza. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
